sin city sox fan
No terms announced yet....but he's playing centerfield for them http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4807676
NorthSideSox72
KC is a big center field too. Who are the corner OF's that will play on either side of him, as of now?
MEANS
Jose Guillen and left fielder David DeJesus.
ThunderBolt
For all the people who thought the Royals were acting more competently than in previous offseasons… look no further then this offseason. This White Sox 2.0 thing should be a blast to watch.
Balta1701
QUOTE (MEANS @ Jan 8, 2010 -> 10:14 AM) Jose Guillen and left fielder David DeJesus. They need to practice that move where Pods catches the ball and flips it to Guillen so that it can be thrown.
ChiSox_Sonix
These teams really do share players...
NorthSideSox72
QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jan 8, 2010 -> 09:15 AM) For all the people who thought the Royals were acting more competently than in previous offseasons… look no further then this offseason. This White Sox 2.0 thing should be a blast to watch. I actually wouldn't be surprised to see Getz and Fields do better than they did with the Sox. Getz in particular. Pods, though... not so much. ThunderBolt
I really would like to see Fields win the DH job. I don't want his choosing of baseball over football to be something that he regrets for the rest of his life. Even if he was a backup or a third string QB that might be a better existence then 6 months in AAA Omaha.
MEANS
he won't do as well as last season but i'm sure he'll be at his best when he plays us....
shipps
I will never understand the hate that some Sox fans held towards Pods.

Do you have game tape of that extra-inning affair in Seattle that Griffey won on a walk-off single? BigSqwert
QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Jan 8, 2010 -> 09:45 AM) I will never understand the hate that some Sox fans held towards Pods. Who knows. They were probably rooting for his walk off HR in game 2 of the WS to be caught.

No I dont and if I did I wouldnt hate him, that would just be weird and obsessive. A lot of people that hate him fall into that category. MEANS
i don't have any hatred towards him, just seems like most former Sox players do well against us.
Quin
I won't lie, I loved Pods. I really didn't want him to sign in the division, was hoping he'd be a Giant. Oh well, I hope the best for Pods, just not against us.
watchtower41
I'm happy for Pods that he landed a starting job, its pretty tough not to root for the guy after all he's done to remain an effective major league ballplayer. That being said, you could almost guarantee that Pods will beat the Sox all by himself at least once this year.

ThunderBolt
I have 3 White Sox jerseys. A Beckham one, A Swish one (Sue Me), and a Scotty Pods one. I bought the Pods one at the Cell 15 minutes before Game 2 of the World Series. It's a bit of coincidence that I won't ever forget. I love Pods, He just frustrates the hell out of me. fathom
Good for Pods. Nice to see his comeback last season result in more money from his family. He was the heart and soul of the Sox last year, and I wish him well when he's not facing the Sox. With that said, I look forward to see Buehrle and Danks pick him off 10 times next year. Also, Greinke's ERA might be below 1 next year, as Pods just dominated him.

southsideirish71
I just told our resident KC fan at work. He cursed. Pods patrolling all that area in CF for KC.
sin city sox fan
I actually like Pods....I just think its a mistake to sign him as a centerfielder. My guess is that he's playing one of the corners for KC by midseason and Brian Anderson is the starting centerfielder.
kane0730
I'm curious to see the terms of this deal.
