justBLAZE
QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jan 17, 2010 -> 09:24 AM) Danks is better than Floyd and thus should be making more than him, simple economics. Those types of issues I am pretty sure don't cross the mind of any front office employee otherwise it would handcuff nearly everything they do. Please prove it. Quin
QUOTE (beck72 @ Jan 17, 2010 -> 08:09 AM) I was thinking more than Gavin, yet less than Lester. The Sox aren't going to make Gavin's deal look like peanuts and cause a rift salary wise. This is what I'm thinking. Danks could have had Gavin's contract, so theres no point in him accepting that or less.
kjshoe04
QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jan 17, 2010 -> 01:29 PM) Please prove it. I was thinking the same thing. He may be younger, but right now Gavin is the better pitcher.

And that's quite impressive considering the horrendous start Gavin got of to. With that said, I'm glad we've got both. I'm really not that concerned about the club being able to work out an extension with Danks. I'm fairly certain something will get done. hogan873
Based on what Quentin could do if he stays healthy, $3 million is a steal. But like I said, based on what he COULD do.
