iWiN4PreP
Thank you Flash - I will check it out once I start feeling better Update: Monday night at 10pm I came across the weirdest sickness I've ever had. I went from perfectly fine, to puking in 30 minutes. At 10:30 I puked about 5 times in a row crazy fast, I thought it was all over then, but within the next 6 hours 10pm-4am I puked a total of 5 different times about 5 times each, I was crapping piss basically, I had a fever along with serious chills, a terrible stomach ache, and absolutely no appetite. It was the worst sickness I've ever had - because whenever I stood up I was dizzy and just couldn't move, along with a headache. I literally didn't move out of my bed all of Tuesday, probably slept 18 hours. Today (Wednesday) im feeling much better, still very tired with no appetitte, but getting there... We think it was some kind of food poisoning due to how fast it came on, my dad also got the same exact sickness about 4-6 hours after I got sick, we both ate at Pita's Republic the day before we got sick. I very rarely ever get sick, so it was really surprising.
iamshack
Yuck...sure does sound like food poisoning. How did the chicken fajitas turn out, my man?
iWiN4PreP
The fajitas were allright, did somethings wrong, but they turned out allright. Not bad. Past week I've had just terrible mood/appetite. I feel like a women (lol?) I cant eat things i normally eat (I just made egg whites + sausage links + oatmeal, ended up throwing out 3/4 of it), I just cant eat things. All that is on my mind is olive garden, subway, and candy.... Also been in terrible moods this week, ever since that damn sickness.

Ease into eating in a more healthy way. Subway isn't bad, if you stay fairly simple with it, and with your frame and activity level, you can eat with a bit more freedom than most people. Eventually, when you're working out like you plan, your body will let you know what it likes and what it doesn't. Listen to it.

maggsmaggs
QUOTE (CryptviLL @ Jan 25, 2010 -> 08:33 AM) Just got Chicken fajitas for tonights bulls game, can't wait, haven't had these in a good 8+ months :D. Ran 3 miles 2 days ago, ran 3 again yesterday, will probably run 3 today. I cant help it - I love running. I went from 148 on the scale a few days ago to my lowest was 141.5 then I got it back up to 144. Now its probably 145. lol On your running, are you training for anything? Because if you are, I would add some speed work or endurance runs to your training regimen. Even if you aren't, it helps you get into much better cardiovascular shape. Heads22
This thread makes me feel bad about my lack of working out. How's the last week gone, Ron?
SoxAce
Started working out 3 weeks ago. I've done alittle of Flash's idea which helped and alittle of my own. So far... even the family has seen results. Gonna do one more month before I show off.

Preserved foods and fast foods change your body chemistry, moving into eating clean is like stopping smoking, you have to do it gradually. SoxAce
Down to 160 on the nose right now. Feel stronger than I was a month ago for sure (couldn't even do 1 set of 20 man pushups a month ago.) Now I'm doing 2 sets of 40. I got all year, so I'll probably be in the hundreds come summer time. I gotta do somethin with these stretch marks though.. Flash Tizzle
Does anyone here squat regularly? Jesus, I did five sets of five reps on Sunday and my thighs have been sore since. It's a chore walking; especially climbing stairs. What's worst of all is it took me three times as long to complete my run because I couldn't move my legs as fast as before, and the stiffness has drained my energy. I'd really like to continue, I'm sure it'll be better as the weeks go on, but I can't keep forsaking my runs for squats. Any advice?

I do a set of 50 (with sets of leg lifts to boot) and it kills me, but when I go on the elliptical it slows me down, but I pick up speed later on during the workout. For me, I limit what I can do during a day. Before, I did squats, leg lifts, push-ups, sit-ups, running, etc.. all in one day which killed me. I would say in a normal workout day, just take the day off to rest your leg muscles which helps me at least, or take a looooong hot bath (though I'm not a bath guy) to more or less relax (or massage if you will) the muscles. Or, you can just work on your body, and do conditioning the next day/morning. I'm sure others are probably more help than I am though, but I hope I helped alittle. BTW, to keep up with my theme, I'm down to 153 the last time I checked, so hopefully I can hit my 150 goal weight, though I might be shooting for 145 since I still got alittle fat in some areas of my 5'7 frame. I wanted to work squats into my everyday workouts. I did 5 sets of 10 a few weeks ago. My legs were fine until I woke up the next morning and it felt like a woodpecker had been pecking at my thighs all night. I'm 26, but I may as well have been 96. That's how incapacitated I was. I figured that since I had never really done them before that it was just my legs way of adjusting. But I'm scared s***less to try them again. Whoa, you definitively shouldn't think about squatting as part of an everyday workout. At most, I'd recommend three days a week; but for me, I'm fine with one due to a heavy amount of running. After searching through the Google it would seem that many recommend remaining at the weight you're using until the pain disappears. It's considered one of the best overall exercises for building muscle, due to all the muscle groups engaged, so we'd be better off finding a routine and sticking with it. It'll be interested to see how my body reacts on Saturday when I squat again. Edited March 18, 2010 by Flash Tizzle
