Soxbadger
I have a spigen case and a separate glass protector. Keeps the phone thin but adds some nice protection just in case.
Y2HH
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 30, 2015 -> 12:00 PM) Its been national news. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/apple-ios-9-wi...vour-your-data/ That still shouldn't happen unless he turned off WiFi, or the WiFi he's connected too just sucks... I leave that setting on and have never had a problem...as a matter of fact, I LOVE that setting. When I'm a bit too far away from my WiFi when I'm out in the garage, the old way it would remain connected to the WiFi despite getting no actual service from it...this way it drops me to LTE and I can continue using my device without an issue. This isn't the story people are trying to make it...this is simply the result of people putting up with s***ty WiFi and not realizing it until now. TL;DR: WiFi assist is awesome, and I don't know why anyone would disable it instead of fixing their s*** WiFi issue, which is the actual problem. Y2HH
As for cases, I've had every iPhone since the beginning except for one of them. iPhone 1 iPhone 3G iPhone 3Gs iPhone 4 iPhone 4s iPhone 5 iPhone 6+ Never used a case or a screen protector on any of them for longer than a week...at one point when I had the 5, I tried a few cases and screen protectors but ultimately tore them off the device. Until the 6+ I never even bought Apple Care+ and I wish I hadn't bought it now...and won't be buying it for my 6S+. I've broken exactly zero of those phones...hell, my original iPhone 1 is STILL operational. I use it as a household MP3 player.

In his case or in other cases when the phone would usually wait for the Wifi signal to get stronger or to come back in (in a basement or yard for example) instead it goes to LTE by default. Not everyone should have that feature turned on when your data plan or wifi sucks.
Y2HH
QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Sep 30, 2015 -> 11:57 AM) MY kid has an iphone... eating data like there is no tomorrow. He swears he only uses when connected to wi-FI. I go into this phone and find a setting that has all of his apps selected to use data plan instead of wi-fi. Is this really possible and is this the default setting. I am an android person and it seemed really shady to me and the i[phone seems to like to default to the data plan rather than wi-fi. There is no setting that says "use data instead of wifi". The setting you're referring too simply allows those apps to use data when the phone isn't on WiFi. He's either 1) disabling WiFi, or 2) dropping off a bad WiFi connection via the WiFi assist option. If its #2, I'd look into fixing the WiFi issue, because it shouldn't be dropping to data. Shutting those options off simply doesn't allow those Apps to use data connections outside of WiFi, it doesn't say, "use my data and ignore the wifi". Not everyone should have that feature turned on when your data plan or wifi sucks. Right, the only way that happens is if you're wifi signal is incredibly poor. In those instances, I'd tell people to check the placement of their WiFi or the channels it's running on...anyone with a relatively modern WiFi router shouldn't have these issues, especially while indoors. Edit: And the only thing that can possibly use that much data is streaming high res video...I stream music and podcasts all day and never even come close to my stream using more than 1 gig a month. Harry Chappas
This is all part of my switch to AT&T from a combo of DirectTV, XFINITY and AT&T. AT&T customer service is nonexistent at this point in time. Wait times are over an hour. I have an outstanding cell phone bill for $ 452 that AT&T can not tell me what it is for only that I owe it. I agree it should be about $250. Not one feature of the AT&T platform performs properly at this time. This is all because I had to leave US Celluar which was awesome in every way shape and form. As is Direct TV. AT&T is once again to large and I was bamboozled

I use Verizon for my cellular service (it's a premium, but it has the network) I use Xfinity for Cable/Internet (sadly, nothing in my area comes close to Xfinity for Internet service) I will not use AT&T for ANYTHING for as long as possible. bmags
Also, got the new tweetdeck. Loving all my old ios flames. I basically use my phone for twitter and texts. I got it a couple of months ago, and have no idea how I survived as long as I did with the old one. It is so much easier to use, plus it is nice having remote access to DVR shows, for the most part. Jake
I'm happy enough with my AT&T cell phone plan, partially because I'm on a business plan which seems to get you a far better level of customer service. I signed up for AT&T U-verse a year or so ago and it was a freaking catastrophe. They show up and say that I don't have the connections necessary in my neighborhood for the level of speed for internet that I chose (their systems were wrong about what was available at my address). I say okay, just give me whatever I can get. The tech isn't allowed to hook me up with anything but what I've signed up for. He leaves. I call them, wait for an hour, then talk to someone. I say please lower my speed and send another tech. They say okay, your new plan will be [whatever my old plan price plus $40/month was]. I say wait a minute, I'm asking for less service. Well, we can't help you. Let me send you to another CS person. Okay, wait another 30 minutes, go through the entire explanation and they offer the same high price. Nope, that's not what I want. They send me to another person who may have the ability to make this change. Wait an hour. This person is helpful, has to get permission from manager who is out to lunch. They will call back. No call back, ever. I call back, they can't find any record of any of these conversations, so I redo that entire process. They finally manually change my plan and allow me to schedule the installation for 5 days later (I was in a new apartment with no TV, no internet). 5 days later, nobody shows up. I look at my online account and there's an alert that says my appointment was cancelled because I signed up for an internet speed that is not available in my location. I at this point just called and cancelled, which took a while of course as they tried to sell me a mobile hotspot plan. They were still generally courteous, no Comcast horror story in that sense. As soon as I hung up with AT&T for the last time, I signed up for TWC online, drove to their local retail location, and picked up the equipment and hooked it up. No problemo. Directv's picture quality, DVR and overall offering was head and shoulders better. PLus the Comcast constantly increasing bill was annoying as hell. You cant beat that Comcast business class internet though, blazing. Edited October 2, 2015 by RockRaines

I go to someone's house who is on the old platform and it's so painful to navigate and look at. Did you get the new X1 remote yet? We got our a couple months ago and it's even better. The voice recognition is pretty flawless, I've never seen it get a word I've said wrong, and the "illumination-on-movement" buttons is a very nice touch. I always had to turn the remote toward the TV to read some of the keys. It lighting up when you grab it is beautiful.

The new system actually has an HD preference feature where when enabled, if you select an SD channel, it automatically takes you to the HD channel instead (if it has one). So if you hit 2 for Chicago CBS, it takes to automatically to CBS Chicago HD's channel.
