Jebus...if you ran AV and it removed over 200 threats -- that probably means you're infested with self-repairing viruses and/or self replicating viruses (essentially, they return even after they're removed). If this was me, I'd be doing a full on format and start from scratch, because odds are your system is beyond owned. I'd recommend getting uBlock Origins (Chrome extension), and enabling all of the following: uBlock Origins is basically an advanced ad blocker, that also blocks malware sites, and has the Disconnect.me definitions included, so it also protects you from the same malicious websites as the Disconnect extension (so you wouldn't need both). Y2HH Posted January 11, 2016 Share Posted January 11, 2016 To add to my previous post -- the reason I recommend such an extension is because odds are, all of that malware you had on your system came off browsing websites -- and no, to dispel a rather popular opinion, it's NOT just porn sites that spread this stuff...legit sites, from si.com to espn have unknowingly had malware spreading ads on their sites. I am positive I got it from a torrent I downloaded and I cleaned everything up right away once I noticed it downloaded stuff on my CPU.. I'm not sure how to go about formatting my computer to make sure everything is good. If you think UBlock is better I will get that. I just scanned again with AVG and 1 threat was found. It was a Trojan Horse (first one from yesterday and today). I probably should clean my PC and just restart. I have Windows 10 and if I click on the file exploring icon it opens up and I get the message "Working on it" and it takes awhile to load everything up. I also scanned using Malwarebytes and there were 0 threats found Don't get uBlock unless that's all that available -- you want uBlock Origin (the other is a fork of the original uBlock, and not quite as good). uBlock uses way less ram/cpu to accomplish the same thing as adblock, and doesn't make money allowing certain ads to get through...it also does a lot more. Do note that to play navigation, you need to typically be on the media section (some cars it will actually interject over normal radio but a lot of vehicles it will only interject on the media connection, meaning over Pandora / Spotify / etc). I have a 2012 Ford Focus, it absolutely can. In fact, it should default to bluetooth if connected (over USB). I kinda figured it would work if I enabled my blue tooth setting but I hate to have my phone linked to that. I always forget that I have it on and the ring wakes up my daughter on our morning drive in to the city.
