HuskyCaucasian
QUOTE (bmags @ Oct 7, 2011 -> 11:59 AM) Saying they are delaying their phone launch out of respect for jobs seems like convenient cover. Na I dont think so. It's possible Jobs funeral would be next week and I am sure there will be some Google exes there. 9to5google.com seems to think the announcement will be pushed to later in the week. Iwritecode
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Oct 7, 2011 -> 10:39 AM) Heh, I have family that lives there. They went to.....Windsor HS? They live in either Loves Park or Machesney Park. There is a Winsor but it's an elementary school. Loves Park and Machesney Park are both part of the Harlem School district. All the kids end up at the same Jr. High and High school. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 7, 2011 -> 11:12 AM) I was at Maple and then Machesney... you had to actually "find" it on the computers, but it was good s***. You must be younger than me then. Machesney was Franklin Jr. High when I was in school. Maybe we did have it on our computers and I just never played it. I know we had games on the computers in the back of the classrooms but I didn't mess with them much. I remember the big saying back then was "r-u-n return." kjshoe04
All this talk of Loves Park makes me chuckle. One of my best friends from college grew up in Loves Park and went to Harlem. I'll have to ask him about Oregon Trail.

HuskyCaucasian
I am officially a T-Mobile user. Wife got a Samsung Galaxy S, I got a T-Mobile/LG G2x. I am loving the pure google experience on the G2x, excellent phone.
bigruss
I went from bad phone to worse phone today, as my old one died on me (Samsung Intensity 1). Now I use my dad's old LG phone, and I miss my qwerty board. Can't wait to go fulltime and have my company pay for my phone...
southsideirish71
Well the company got me an HP laptop a while back and I have had enough of some of the undocumented features in Windows including blue screening when you disconnect a USB to Serial connection. I have loaded Ubuntu on my laptop and things looked good. Then I tackled the integrated 3G card, a Qualcomm Gobi card. I got it up and running but lord what a pain. It involved loading modules, binding them to a USB tty and then loading a process to load and flash the 3G cards firmware. Finally I can use the 3G connection. This is where a mac would come in handy. Linux is nice and serves its purpose, it however at times is a pain in the ass when you have something out of the ordinary to enable.. Well on to VMWare workstation 8. Edited October 12, 2011 by southsideirish71

I got a lot of errors as well. Try downloading it only, and then installing it. That worked for me. Haven't had much of a chance to play around with it, but so far it seems awesome. kev211
QUOTE (iamshack @ Oct 12, 2011 -> 02:54 PM) So you restored it back to the factory settings? Seems like your problem is happening with a lot of people because when apple goes to verify the firmware it gets stopped since their servers are getting slammed. Error 3200 is even trending on twitter. Bmags solution of restoring it and fresh installing it seems to be the best solution. bmags
I'm sorry, yes, I restored to factory settings. Haven't fooled around with it much, yet.
kev211
This update is worth it for the notification system alone, but iMessages seems awesome so far its faster and you can see when the other person is typing. Basically like instant messaging on your phone.
iamshack
Thanks guys...that worked. There must be a higher priority set for the factory restores to get through to the servers or something. Seems odd.
iamshack
So I already got sucked into buying more storage for iCloud....the 5 GB was not enough to back up all my devices, so I had to pop for an additional 10 GB at $20/yr. What a sucker I am...
