And after finally ripping my linksys wireless N router out of the wall and smashing it in the street I bit the bullet and bought an airport extreme. This thing better not hang like that piece of s*** did (ive been told it wont)

The airport extreme is nice, especially if you have a newer model mac. My iMAC connects wireless N via 3 antennas/channels at the same time, giving it 450mbit. That's pretty fast wireless. ;D

I think i'm finally going to give in and buy a tablet. Looking at the Asus Infinity. Seems to be the best Android tablet there according to the major review sites. Anyone have one by chance?

Asus definitely makes the best Android tablets.

I'm in the market for a 1TB external hard drive.... Price isn't an issue, any suggestions?

Prices arent high for those anyway. I bought 2 different brands on amazon and both have been good. Just buy a reputable one.

Also, are you networking it, taking it mobile or just handing it off a PC?

On my note, 3 days, zero hangs on my Airport Extreme. So much better than that linksys so far.

OCZ sucks btw. When I built my computer I bought an OCZ SSD drive that had a $10 mail in rebate. I paid the dollar to get it within 3-5 business days as opposed to 6-8 weeks. Well, 4 weeks go by and I still didn't have it. After multiple email exchanges, OCZ kept telling me they had sent it out to AMEX (the form of the rebate was an AMEX card) so i need to contact them. I contact AMEX and they have no record of receiving the request from OCZ. Some more digging (thankfully AMEX customer service was competent) it turns out OCZ authorized an AMEX card for $9 CANADIAN. It took another 2 weeks for them to sort it out, reissue the card and send it to me. In the middle of it I had told someone from OCZ that at minimum I should get a "refund" of that dollar I spent for an expedited rebate, but of course they didn't give it to me.

So... Yeah. f*** OCZ.

I bought an 128 GB OCZ Vortex 4 SSD for $80 today. Other than boot times, do any of you notice a great difference in performance with an SSD in comparison to a traditional hard drive?

It's night and day for me. I run a lot of virtual machines on my MacBook though.

Cool story bro. I did get a rebate from them before, took a while.

Apparently undeterred by privacy concerns of some lawmakers, Google on Friday announced it was continuing in its quest to add high-resolution aerial imagery of areas around the world.

“Improving the availability of more high quality imagery is one of the many ways we’re continuing to bring you the most comprehensive and accurate maps of the world,” wrote Eric Kolb, a “geo data strategist” at Google, in an official company blog post.

Specifically, Kolb wrote that Google had added updated aerial imagery for 20 locations, satellite imagery for 60 regions and Google’s new “45-degree” angle imagery — which, rather than straight down, shows locations from a slight sideways tilt, giving them more depth and helping Google’s other mapping quest: to create 3D maps of metropolitan areas.

“This angle enables people to explore the sides of buildings, rotate around a particular point of interest and see it from different perspectives, and get a more complete and realistic view of an area,” a Google spokesperson added to TPM.

The new imagery provides more detailed views of many U.S. cities — 43, according to a list provided by Google — as well as some international locations, among them, Mecca, in Saudi Araba. One screenshot of the new high-resolution view of Mecca, showing the world’s tallest clocktower, the Abraj Al Bait, or Mecca Royal Hotel Clock Tower, can be seen at the top of this article.

Programs fire off of it almost immediately.

And yet people are still blindly in love with Apple.

I hate my generation sometimes.

Samsung, HTC, Nokia, Motorola...well, all of them partake in this exact same nonsense...yet you single out Apple? That doesn't make you sound biased or anything.

If you aren't aware, please go do some reading...Apple is merely a storyline that generates hits, which is why it's all you read when it comes to patent litigation. Apple is just the latest to join the battle, but they aren't the first...or even the second, third or fourth company involved. They were one of the last involved in these patent wars, but of course you know that...well, actually, you had no idea...based solely on the way you are talking.

You had nothing to say when Nokia sued Apple, and won a judgement of over 700 million dollars.

Go read up on who is suing whom, and you'll basically see that for every Apple lawsuit, there are 50 of the same from every other company out there you think is awesome.
