Jenksismyhero
QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 27, 2010 -> 12:15 PM) Here's a reason. It's like reading a newspaper. Meh. Doing that isn't as cool as it should be. I guess it depends on how they set it all up. Reading a newspaper on my iphone or my fiance's Kindle isn't all that exciting. HuskyCaucasian
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 27, 2010 -> 12:37 PM) This thing is really cool. It's nice, but buying apps through iTunes really sucks. I was hoping for something closer to OS X than iPhoneOS. It's iPhoneOS on steroids.

HuskyCaucasian
QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 27, 2010 -> 12:42 PM) what sucks about it? seems perfectly fine to me. I dont like the idea of having to buy apps through a single source. I get the iPhone, but on larger devices it makes no sense. Imagine having to buy every application on your computer through Microsoft or Apple.
Rex Kickass
QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jan 27, 2010 -> 01:15 PM) Here's a reason. It's like reading a newspaper. But reading a newspaper is like reading a newspaper. And its much cheaper. And you aren't sad when you leave it on the train accidentally. Texsox
I was interested. I see a lot of potential. Eventually I would like to have everything merged. Cell phone Netbook Money Keys Credit Cards ID cards MP3 Player Toll Pass Company ID Carry one device and it does everything. I'm the old guy and remember carrying an address book, calendar, to do lists, etc. Then a phone and PDA. I'm liking where this is going, the form factor will be the final determination. Eventually I see some foldable screen, ultra thin, like paper. 1/8 size it is a phone. 1/4 size a DPA. Full size a laptop computer with virtual keyboard. Rex Kickass
QUOTE (bmags @ Jan 27, 2010 -> 01:57 PM) you dont have to buy a tablet every day. But at $599 to $799 plus tax, chances are you'll still be ahead given the lifespan of the average well used ipod touch. Newspapers also don't have costly glass screens that can easily crack.
