I'm not a cellular technology expert, but I think GSM and CDMA towers are separate. So Verizon traffic usually doesn't affect AT&T traffic. The only reason where I can see something one service interfering with another is LTE. LTE is a GSM and it's not uncommon for companies to share towers.

My theory is just that there are way too many people on AT&T and their network doesn't handle it as well as Verizon. There are also more CDMA towers in the US than GSM.

They have seperate towers but they are still cell phones sending a signal out to those towers. I'll look for where I saw that info, it has to do with the spectrum of GSM vs Verizon. They even operate on the same frequency at times.

Maybe this will allow them to put in some more features.

In comparison to some other ROMs (most of which are CM forks), it lacks a lot of the cool features other ROMs have had for a while.

For instance, I can't even make my navigation bar transparent or change the height of it in CM. I also can't assign long-press actions to those navigation buttons. AOKP (and ROMs based off it) has had that option for more than a year.

They're introducing increased privacy controls. The nightly I'm running already has it. It allows me to block individual permissions in any app. Pretty cool stuff.

A near-flawless AT&T HTC One 4.3 ROM has leaked, which may mean that the carrier update is not far. It has already gone out to developer models, int'l devices.

My coworker's dad works for HTC. He's had 4.3 on his One for 3 weeks now.

The real question is if AT&T and other carriers are going to string along their end of the update for several months

You mean which carrier? I'm on Verizon.

There are some rumblings that an exploit has been found but won't be released until 4.3 comes out. They don't want the exploit patched. I was lucky enough to have purchased on launch day and rooted it before Verizon shut things down.

Is the current state of TV manufacturing super s***ty? Last week my father-in-laws top of the line Samsung crapped out in less than two years and my son's 3D Vizio died yesterday, it was 16 months old. I have a 5 year old Sony that is still humming and a small 19" Vizio monitor/TV that so far is perfect.

I have a 42" Samsung LCD that is at least 6-7 years old. Works like a charm.

I have a 42" Samsung LCD that is 7.5 years old and still works wonderfully and looks great. I also have a 50" LCD that's about 3 years old and is also a-ok.

Samsungs from the last few years had issues with capacitors on the power board not being strong enough, resulting in the tv flashing on but not staying on. Mine did that and it was a $4 fix from radioshack. Do some googling with whatever problem you're having before you take it somewhere to get fixed.

The audio on my ipad went out yesterday and no clue what happened.

Was FaceTiming with my parents in AZ. It started to go in and out than finally just went out.

Seems like a common problem but I can't get the sound back at all. All levels are up. WTF
