bigruss
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 21, 2014 -> 07:01 AM) He is trying to force merchants into chip and pin, like the rest of the world is using. This is good. US merchants are resisting because nobody wants to pay for the upgrade in systems. Believe me, we want this. Absolutely. A signature basically is a non factor for authentication, a PIN is something that can be checked real time and is true multi-factor authentication. Of course things like Geo location will be an even better factor for true auth for payments which is why having it linked to your phone is an excellent idea. I literally put 2 squiggly lines and have yet to have anyone say anything or have a credit card company call about it.
Y2HH
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 21, 2014 -> 10:53 AM) No you cant. it requires 650 MB of free space even if you plug in Surely you can clear up 650mb off your phone. Do the usage and see what apps are taking up the most space. If it's your camera roll, plug it in and back it up to iPhoto.

At that point, it becomes not funny.
StrangeSox
A lot of the older e-sign devices don't even work anymore. All you can do is scribble a big blob because the screen is so worn out.

I can't write my name on those properly anyway...and the companies have to know that almost nobody can, so the signatures won't match either way. So my response to these signatures is stop wasting my time with signatures...this isn't 1975. Chip/pin is necessary today, signatures are NOT a valid form of security, nor were they ever. There shouldnt be an obstacle to upgrade like this. Apple should know enough to be able to upgrade the OS without having to download so much data when the phone is plugged in. Pathetic really. That's like nothing! Delete a movie or some music, you can always put it back. And there isn't much Apple or anyone else can do about this, operating system installs require space to expand, store temporary files, etc. You'll eventually have to clean your phone either way if you're below a gig...you're going to run out of space at some point...so you may as well do it before it forces you. NorthSideSox72
OK, I'll try here, why not. I'm looking to try out some wireless headphones, for my commute and workouts. Here's my issue though - I want ear buds or ear speakers, but NOT IN-EAR headphones. I cannot stand the feeling of these in-ear headphones that you have to literally stick into your ear canal. Currently, I use the basic Apple headphones that came with an iPod. They sort of hang in the ear, without sticking into it. That is the type of unit I want. But so far, it looks like all the wireless ones available really want to be in-your-ear. I don't care if if it is a hard rubber band around back, or just cords around back, or cords to a small control unit. Any of those are fine. Anyone have any advice? Most bluetooth earbuds are going to be in ear but there are a few that claim they hold to the outside of your ear like my nike sport pieces of crap that are absolute tanks. The issue I have found with the BT ones is that its hard to find good ones that are sweat proof, so I continue to buy the wired nikes for a few bucks

If you try to watch a movie, the sound is desynched because of the delay.

Jenksismyhero
Although they are in-ear, I have a pair of these: http://www.amazon.com/LG-Electronics-Bluet...uetooth+headset Really like them. Long battery life (and uses a micro-usb plug, like most electronics so I have plenty of cords available to charge), they are wide enough to sit on a shirt so it really doesn't get sweaty if I'm working out or doing yard work or whatever. They also sit perfectly over a collared shirt. The sound quality is pretty good, though I'm not a good judge of that. I can say volume is not an issue - they can be loud if you need them to be (e.g., when mowing or using loud equipment). I've purchased a few of these as gifts for people and everyone seems to like them. For $50 bucks they're a pretty good deal for a Bluetooth headset.
