SockMe
For me its between Bacon and Peavy. When we got Peavy I was so excited, probably more then any other acquisition from any of my favorite sports teams. Imagine if he pitches like the CY Young award winner he is. We could have the best pitching staff in baseball.
The Beast
Jim Thome and Ozzie Guillen. In all seriousness though I would have to say I'm hoping that all the newcomers step up and fill the holes well.
ChiliIrishHammock24
definitely Peavy. But I also have high hopes for Andruw Jones because I am a big fan of him.
Steve9347
Jake Peavy I expect him to be in the top 5 for AL Cy Young and to be top 2 in strikeouts.
knightni
Rios. With his contract, I expect at least .280 25 HR 100 RBI 25 SB.
iWiN4PreP
Carlos Quentin
Balta1701
I don't know if its a good thing or a bad thing how many different names have already appeared in this thread.
MHizzle85
Beckham, Rios & Peavy.
bschmaranz
Gotta go with our two mid-season acquisitions from last year, Peavy and Rios. If they perform well, this should be a fun season.
southsider2k5
Peavy for sure.
daggins
Overall - Peavy, Beckham. Should see big things from them. Relative to what is expected - Rios, Teahen. Rios should bounce back, and T-hen should at least get a little power bump. I want to like him so much, I hope he doesn't disappoint. thedoctor
peavy. the guy's a competitor and i'm sure it burned his ass that he missed time last year, especially when people doubted he could compete in the al. that, combined with him being probably healthier and more fresh than he's been in awhile lead me to believe he'll have a really good year. SoxAce
Mark Teahan for me personally. I wanna see if he finds it playing half his games at the cell. Rios and Quentin are good choices as well.
Quin
I got big expectations for all of them... Peavy and Buehrle I expect to be All-Stars and Top 10 Cy Young voting. Peavy is because, well, he's Peavy and he can perform like that. The only reason I've got those expectations for Mark are because of his new conditioning with Herm this offseason. Quentin, I expect around .290, 30 HR, 100 RBI at least. Rios and Teahen I expect to at least hit .280, 20-25 HR, and around 80 RBI. Alexei, just a return to his '08 form. Beckham to be an All-Star. Danks and Floyd to have around 15 wins each and ERAs around 3.50-3.70 Ozzie, I expect at least 10 ejections that involve awesomeness. Pierre around .300 with 40 SB. The Bullpen to have a group ERA around high 3's, low 4's. Paulie and AJ I'd be fine with them just replicating their '09 seasons give or take. Jordan4life_2007
Rios and Ramirez. These are our two best players (offense and defense). Based on skillset, no reason both can't be all-stars.
SouthsideDon48
Definitely Beckham and Peavy.

claydude14
For me, it's Danks and Floyd. I expect both these guys to take it to "the next level" under the leadership of the vets (Mark, Jake, Freddy even). Gavin particularly, I think he can become an elite CY caliber pitcher. greg775
Rios. Both on offense and with the glove. We need him to play well.
chetkincaid
Rios - I hope his contract actually becomes a bargain. Mark "Bruiser" Teahen - I hope the change of scenery does him well.
