chw42
Jayson Nix = a half-way decent player.
bigruss
QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 21, 2010 -> 12:48 PM) Jayson Nix = a half-way decent player when given playing time Fixed

chw42
QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 21, 2010 -> 01:04 PM) Blackburn is out of the rotation. Duensing is starting Friday in Baltimore. Duensing's a decent pitcher, should bode well for the Twins. Shelly Duncan's error opens up the flood gates. 2-0 Twins, bases loaded, two down. Edit: 4-0 now. flavum
So Jayson Nix comes up with the bases loaded, one out right after Liriano walked a batter, and Nix swings at the first pitch (which is rare for him), and grounds into a DP.

Thank goodness we're such a good team at the DH spot. It's not like letting him go up there instead of keeping him was a poor decision. Benchwarmerjim
Delmon Young still cant take a walk, but he is batting .314 and has 67 RBI on the year. Batting something like .400 in 'clutch' situations
Brian
QUOTE (Benchwarmerjim @ Jul 21, 2010 -> 04:04 PM) Delmon Young still cant take a walk, but he is batting .314 and has 67 RBI on the year. Batting something like .400 in 'clutch' situations I noticed his stance is totally different then last year. Still would never throw him a first pitch strike. chw42
QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 21, 2010 -> 04:10 PM) I noticed his stance is totally different then last year. Still would never throw him a first pitch strike. Hands are lower and he's in a more ready position from the start.

We'll get our shot. Tigers tied it up. 2-2, top of 6th. Edited July 22, 2010 by flavum

chw42
Brennan Boesch is starting to regress. His BABIP has dipped almost 40 points since the last time I checked on him. Average is down 25 points during that timespan. There's the reason why I think the Tigers will have a lot of issues from here on out. LittleHurt05
QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 22, 2010 -> 01:25 PM) Damn it, the Twins play the Orioles? Come on... Before the All-Star break the Orioles got swept in Detroit, then proceeded to head to Texas and win 4 straight vs. the Rangers. Maybe they can win a game or two vs. the Twinkies???? then again, maybe not.

chw42
Verlander with another 120 pitch game. I wonder how his arm is still intact.
flavum
Tigers and Blue Jays 2-2, bottom 8th. Verlander threw 120 pitches, so I think he's done.
kane0730
Anybody know why this Tigers game started at noon? I don't ever remember the first game of a 4 games series starting at noon (not including Wrigley).
