NorthSideSox72
Choosing between Quinn and Hynes is almost as bad as the last general for governor - Blago vs Topinka. Is death an option?

CanOfCorn
Until we can go a cycle without someone being ousted, impeached, tried or leaving their post under suspicious conditions, I won't be voting for state government. And by the way, having a newspaper endorsement just doesn't carry the same cache. Especially since I'm sure they endorsed at least one of the former corrupt governors, alderpeople, etc. A vote for no one is a vote for empowerment! BigSqwert
Great. First poll out. Republican Mark Kirk holds a modest 46% to 40% lead over Democrat Alexi Giannoulias in the race for the Illinois Senate following Tuesday’s party primaries. NorthSideSox72
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 4, 2010 -> 02:07 PM) Great. First poll out. Good. I'm not exactly a Kirk fan, but I'd rather have his relatively moderate stances and professionalism, over someone who looks to me like they are exactly what has been ruining Congress for a while now. I think Kirk has a far greater chance of being something useful than Giannoulis does.
Balta1701
So...Illini...um... The little-known pawnbroker who won this week's Democratic primary election for Illinois lieutenant governor was arrested in 2005 after his prostitute girlfriend alleged that he put a knife to her throat and pushed her against the wall -- an incident that could create a major headache for Governor Pat Quinn. Scott Lee Cohen denies that he laid a hand on the woman, and says he didn't know she was a prostitute -- he thought she just worked in a massage parlor. South Carolina would like to thank you again.
