Soxbadger
Newton usually runs tougher, and both of these teams weakness seems to be lining up and pounding the ball.
SoxFan1
Hopefully the sloppiness of this game forces the BCS to shorten the time between the last regular season game and the national championship.

Soxbadger
They need to get outside, straight option or swing pass. But you cant keep doing the zone read.
SoxFan1
QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 10, 2011 -> 11:57 PM) They need to get outside, straight option or swing pass. But you cant keep doing the zone read. They went outside, and it worked.
SoxFan1
Awesome play call on the 2 pt conv. Let's see what you got, Mr. Heisman.
LittleHurt05
Auburn had so many chances to put this game away, now its tied. It hasn't been a well played game, but at least the end will be entertaining.
Soxbadger
Yep shovel pass is basically an inverted option. Unlike the old school Nebraska option you cant really run the triple option as effectively from the spread, so you have to decide to attack the edge or the middle. And last quarter has been interesting.
LittleHurt05
Wow, knee landed on the Duck player, never touched the ground.
SoxFan1
I don't think he was down. Neither elbow or knee.
Soxbadger
Are they going to count his wrist as down? Only call you could make there (to overturn). Edited January 11, 2011 by Soxbadger
RockRaines
His wrist was down, according to the Sugar Bowl refs.

Soxbadger
It wasnt irrefutable. I think that his wrist may have been down, but from the angles they had it wasnt clear enough. Thats why they said the call stands instead of confirmed. Edited January 11, 2011 by Soxbadger
zenryan
I feel like we were robbed for some reason. This game was boring in the second half and could have turned into something great in OT.
fathom
Where were the Oregon defenders up the middle on that play? Did they really think Auburn was going to do anything but set up for the FG?
Soxbadger
I have a strange feeling about this field goal. So close you just see some funny things.

SoxFan1
QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jan 11, 2011 -> 12:13 AM) I'm putting the over under at 2 years until this championship is vacated I take the over. I'll go with the 5-6 year range. And talk about an anti-climactic ending.
