I'm surprised this isn't getting more play, but a reporter in the press box is saying that after the game, the UNC coaches "sprinted out of the box screaming 'Sloppy Top, Sloppy Top, you'll always be assholes to me!' You want to talk about disappointing? That's absurd and incredibly immature. Aren't coaches supposed to act with a little more class than that?

Did they also report the Tennessee coaches running out of the press box screaming "Nana Nana boo boo, stick your head in doo doo!"

I might have missed that article as well. Sounds like awesome reporting.

Don't get me wrong, Butch Davis and his coordinators are some of the worst in-game coaches in all of college football. He's the epitome of all recruiting, not much coaching going on. His rosters will fill up NFL rosters for years, but he will continue to win 8-9 games at max each year at UNC.

Charlie Weis to Florida as Offensive Coordinator??? Are you serious? Why the hell would he leave the NFL to take the same position as the college level? Great, the SEC is all f***ed.

Hell Florida is more of a pro team than KC...

As much as I wanted Miami to win, losing like that will probably be a blessing. No heart or desire from the opening kick off. A mentally soft team and I'm sure Golden will have none of that. Pretty much summed up the Shannon era.

And that should hopefully end the starting career of Harris. Morris needs to be the QB for 2011.

Its amazing how much your opinion of him has changed in a year's time.

lol, aint that the truth.

He thinks he's Brett Favre out there. But atleast Favre had an arm. Harris tries to make throws with a below average arm. You can win in college with a weak arm if the QB is smart.

Atleast the backup QB has an arm. Sure he makes mistakes but he's a freshman and I can deal with that for now. But Morris can make throws that Harris can only dream of. A 15 yard out route with Harris takes so long for the ball to get to the WR that once the catch is made, the DB is able to adjust and there is no YAC yards. There were quite a few times under Morris that the same pass play turned into more yards because the WR can catch the ball without the DB being there to make the tackle.

I don't know if I'd leave the NFL for college if I was a coordinator in the style of Weis.

Maybe he's hoping that the head coach job opens up eventually.

Only logical explanation I can think of is Weis wanting to be a head coach again and he knows that only a college team would give him that chance.

Jacory has looked nothing but awful every time I've watched him on TV, which has been far too often.

He showed some good things his freshman year as a backup. Led Miami to some come from behind wins. 2009 he started off with a bang, started believing the hype and became a turnover machine. Got injured and got even worse as the season ended last year. And this year has just been a trainwreck.

I agree. That's about the only situation I can gather why Weis would come back to the college level. He must have liked the coaching aspect of college football and want to be back in that environment.

I've heard his weakness is the recruiting and getting along with the kids though...so it seems a bit odd that he would choose to go back unless something else was forcing his hand a bit....my guess is there is something else going on here.

Weis recruits just fine. He just can't teach anyone who doesn't already know how to run a pro-style offense.

Sure, the 22 year olds with 3-4 years of school do well, but the 18-19 year old kids right out of HS struggle because he sucks as a teacher.

Mark May seems to think he is a poor recruiter. He doesn't do well talking to the families.

Mark May wouldn't know anything if he didn't have a teleprompter. His opinions are pretty much worthless.

Wait, what? Based upon what? The guy is a former college and NFL player. He's been covering college football for years and years and is pretty sharp.

I know it's fashionable to dismiss media personalities from ESPN as completely ignorant, but May is not one of the guys that gets accused of this.

I'll trust him and his sources unless proven otherwise.

The issue isn't whether you guys like him, it's whether he has developed reputable sources through his playing the game and his job of covering college football for ESPN to be knowledgable of the situation.

No offense to Knightni, but my guess is May's opinion is a little more informed than his (or mine or yours, for that matter).

To say his opinions are worthless is probably not a very legitimate position to take.
