Chisoxfn
What the heck do I know, LOL. The two non National Championship teams I thought were above and beyond the rest (e.g., other than Oregon and Auburn) were Wisconsin and Stanford. Still lots of time in this game, but it looks like it might be a real good game, which would be awesome.
Chisoxfn
QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jan 3, 2011 -> 06:15 PM) BTW Gage, Robinson officially booted today. Good riddance. I like Coker a lot and they have McCall coming in plus they are working on landing the #2 tackle prospect in the country (who played with Coker in college). Sucks cause Robinson was a solid player but a dumbass is a dumbass and the program needs to get rid of those type of guys. A year ago, Iowa was loaded at RB, now anyone that wants to play at a D1 school early has a great shot at Iowa playing behind Coker.
RockRaines
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 3, 2011 -> 08:09 PM) I think Stanford will rout. Luck is an absolute stud. Slam dunk #1 pick, imo. Ryan Mallet hasnt played yet. I still dont know if Luck is the #1 QB.

I think Luck is #1 and it isn't particularly close. He is a very good athlete, has good size, can make all the throws and he is very accurate. I think that the Pac 10 was relatively weak defensively and I still have alot of faith in Mallet as an NFL QB.

I think that the Pac 10 was relatively weak defensively and I still have alot of faith in Mallet as an NFL QB. I'm not sure he has the temperament to play QB in the NFL. He's kind of a spaz. But then again, I'm not overwhelmed by Luck either, although he's made a couple of really nice throws tonight. I guess I just have no idea what I'm doing

Chisoxfn
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 3, 2011 -> 07:52 PM) Ryan Mallet hasnt played yet. I still dont know if Luck is the #1 QB. Luck has all the tools and is incredibly smart. The guy has "it" and any team that needs a QB and passes him will regret it, imo. Stanford with an impressive performance and you have to like Luck's 3rd down completion percentage of 70%. Freaking unreal. This Stanford team was a reason why I support a playoff. They killed Oregon for one half in Oregon and than got tired and routed in the 2nd half by Oregon. Only loss in the season. Wisconsin was another reason, but they lost. Chisoxfn
Coming from someone whose watched a lot of Stanford and has raved about Stanford all season, Luck is just fun to watch. So well composed, great personality, smarts, strong mechanics, and has a lot of raw ability too.

Chisoxfn
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 3, 2011 -> 08:44 PM) I really hope UM doesnt steal Harbaugh. That would be horrible. I like the big ten to do well, but Harbaugh with Michigan, wow. They would be back in little time. Harbaugh is an excellent coach. Oh well, I guess in the end it would be great for the conference. zenryan
Harbaugh sure is doing his best not to be asked questions about the NFL or Michigan.
Chisoxfn
I'd love for him to stay at Stanford to be honest. They are a good school with a great scholastics and while they have limitations to the type of athletes they can recruit, they have a solid sports history (Baseball program is one of the best and there basketball program over the past 20 years has been well above average, albeit more recently the Basketball program took a hit when it lost its coach, but its been regaining steam). Chisoxfn
Honestly, ESPN should never have asked Harbaugh about his timetable during the post-game celebration at the Orange Bowl. I could see it at the press conference, but when all of the players are on the field and they are immediately in the process of celebrating, it just seems incredibly tacky and unprofessional. Let the guys celebrate there big win. Harbaugh handled everything with class.

It seems like he flips out every time its brought up so he should have taken his medicine on the field since he knew the question was coming no matter what. They killed Oregon for one half in Oregon and than got tired and routed in the 2nd half by Oregon. Only loss in the season. Wisconsin was another reason, but they lost. Whoa. Oregon was leading that game at halftime. Stanford had a lead after one quarter. If a team is too tired to play after the 1st quarter and that's the reason they lost, they aren't very good. They looked good early and then couldn't stop Oregon the rest of the game. There was no killing. You can support a playoff, but I'm not sure this is the game that quite does it. Probably because I'm not shocked at all on what big time college athletes are doing. It happens everywhere so when I hear it I think, "sounds about right...". I dont condone cheating and we all know its wrong but I feel the total disrespect Pryor showed is more telling of what type of person he really is.
