ChWRoCk2
Hate the Colts therefore rooting for the Saints. But I see the Colts winning if Freeney plays.

lostfan
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 5, 2010 -> 03:56 PM) I think its gonna be a barnburner Unlike some of the past Saints and Colts teams, both of them actually have at least respectable defenses, so I don't know. SoxAce
Rooting for the Saints, but I got money on the Colts on this one. So I'll probably "hope" the Colts win cause I don't wanna lose money, but I would not be mad if the Saints won. I think Peyton will cement his legacy in this game though. Take that Brett Favre. witesoxfan
I really don't think the Saints have a shot. I think New Orleans leads after the first half, and the Colts win by 2 scores. Similar to the Jets game last week.
Harry Chappas
It was not that long ago that these were two of the s***tier franchises in all of sports. Anyone that thinks QB is not the most important position in sports is wrong.
witesoxfan
QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Feb 5, 2010 -> 04:05 PM) It was not that long ago that these were two of the s***tier franchises in all of sports. Anyone that thinks QB is not the most important position in sports is wrong. agree. There are many other important positions, but having a great QB alone can get some teams into the playoffs. You really can't say having a great "whatever" can get you into the playoffs.
lostfan
The Colts are probably a 6-10 team without Manning.
Balta1701
QUOTE (lostfan @ Feb 5, 2010 -> 05:17 PM) The Colts are probably a 6-10 team without Manning. Well, they'd have been drafting pretty highly for the last decade without him, so who knows.
lostfan
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 5, 2010 -> 06:09 PM) Well, they'd have been drafting pretty highly for the last decade without him, so who knows. I don't mean if they never drafted Manning, I mean, say he has a severe leg injury in the preseason at the beginning of this year.
Rowand44
QUOTE (lostfan @ Feb 5, 2010 -> 06:13 PM) I don't mean if they never drafted Manning, I mean, say he has a severe leg injury in the preseason at the beginning of this year. I'd say they'd be lucky to be 6-10, seriously. But anyways, I'm very indifferent on both of these teams. I guess I'm rooting for the Colts and I do think they'll win but I really couldn't care less. You also have to think they'd sign or trade for a stopgap QB. I highly doubt they'd go with Curtis Painter for an entire season.

iamshack
And like some sort of cruel fate, my DirecTV went down for the first time ever tonight. Should be fun trying to get the technicians out tomorrow on the day before the damn Super Bowl...
witesoxfan
QUOTE (lostfan @ Feb 5, 2010 -> 08:13 PM) I'm just talking strictly about his value as a player. I can absolutely agree with this though. He's basically a coach that wears a helmet and pads and gets to decide where the football goes. lostfan
I was supposed to go to a Super Bowl party this weekend, and my friend wants me to drive to Sterling VA which is by Dulles Airport, which is pretty far away from me. That's like the equivalent of living in Chicago Heights and driving to Elgin or some s***. I signaled that I might not go and she says "how you gonna back out on Friday?" My reply was something to the effect "I didn't know you wanted me to drive 60+ miles the day after a historic blizzard cripples all civilization in the mid-Atlantic region"

iamshack
My damn DirecTV is still down. Called the company. They are trying to find a technician to send out. f*** me.
iamshack
So my fortunes have reversed! Yes, my programming went down yesterday... The tech came out today...looks around....goes into some other room in our building, comes back, and starts uploading some other program guide. Then the channels start popping up. I say, what was the problem? He says, I'm still not really sure. There are two systems in your building and I just hooked you up to the other one. Don't say anything, because this system is better... So I start asking some more questions, gently...I know that when I got DirecTV in Sept for the NFL Sunday Ticket), I was told that the dish on our building was antiquated, and that I would only get a few channels in HD. I was pissed, but I figured it was worth it to switch from cable so I could have the Sunday Ticket. Well, I say, so when you say a new system, you mean, there is a new dish up there? And he says yep. I say why doesn't anyone know? Why are we not all hooked up to it? He says because we are still negotiating over the price and some other terms. So it has been sitting up there since November, ready to go, but no one is hooked up to it. No one but you, at least... And he tells me not to tell anyone... But now I have all the HD channels again, and I am the only DirecTV subscribing tenant in our building hooked up to the new dish... That, my friends, is what you call a silver lining... Heads22
Colts would have been 6-10 without Peyton, but 18-0 right now if Sorgi was healthy.
