macsandz
QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Feb 19, 2010 -> 12:40 PM) Rosenthal was on this morning with Mully and Hanley saying he thinks the Tigers will get him just because they are offering more money. He said supposedly the Sox have made only one offer and are sticking to it so that they aren't getting played by Boras. Rosenthal couldn't have sounded more out of touch in that interview. He and his colleagues have been completely shut out of all pipelines. M&H just continued to ask away and the guy literally had no new information. It had to be embarrassing for the guy. scenario
QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Feb 19, 2010 -> 12:56 PM) Rosenthal couldn't have sounded more out of touch in that interview. He and his colleagues have been completely shut out of all pipelines. M&H just continued to ask away and the guy literally had no new information. It had to be embarrassing for the guy. I wouldn't be surprised if Rosenthal had some inside info the other day... said something that had been told to him in confidence... got called on it... and is now laying low. I have nothing to back that up, but I could easily picture it. His sources are generally very good. And you just don't see him reverse track like he did the other day and then clam up. Kyyle23
well I know one thing for sure, when this thread makes 100 pages, Chet kincaid needs to be the first post on the 100th page, so he has the 1st post, the 1000th post, and the 1st post of the 100th page. I remember driving through downtown Detroit in rush hour (5:30-ish) in the middle of the summer about 10 years ago and NOBODY was out on the street. It was weird. chetkincaid
They wouldn't announce a Damon signing on a Saturday, would they? I'm thinking that if it's not done today then on Sunday KW is going to be telling us why it was never going to happen anyway.
