Wow, a drive where they had success rushing. And a rushing TD! From the 1 yard line. Wow.

Heavens. I don't know what to say. They didn't turn the ball over in the RZ and they scored on a run from the 1. Shocking.

Sometimes it seems Cutler gets into a mode where you know it's just a matter of time before he turns it over. He threw 4 straight terrible passes that all could have been intercepted prior to that fumble. He had been playing a very good game prior to that string of plays (besides the missed Forte TD).

Up to this point in his career, he's a talent but not a winning player. Maybe someday it will change, but some guys have a knack for doing things to win games, some guys have a knack for screwing things up at the most inopportune times.

It looks like he's going to have to make some plays in the 4th or the Bears are going to lose.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 7, 2010 -> 03:26 PM)
If the Bears don't get better players, its not going to matter who the coach is next year.

The scary thing for the Bears franchise right now is that they have very little young talent. The defense is effective because of 3 guys who are all 30+ years old (well Briggs will be on a few days). The offense has basically no talent on the oline, mediocre WR and mediocre RB with an incredibly talented but inconsistent QB who has very little help around him. What happens when Briggs, Urlacher or Peppers start going down hill? Angelo's horrid drafting and personnel moves the last several years have put the Bears in a position where they could like be in for a 10 year run of awful football if the stars on D have quick declines. Angelo's drafting since 2004 has been an embarrassment. He has no business having a job as a GM in the NFL right now.

The Bears have talent. What they don't have is a coaching staff to best utilize and evaluate and develop that talent. They also don't have a GM who can properly evaluate team weaknesses and do something about them.
