Brian
QUOTE (lostfan @ Dec 12, 2010 -> 04:04 PM) Sigh... Knox is due for some s*** like that at least once every other game Knox has always been pretty soft. Getting bumped off his routes, not catching in tight coverage. lostfan
Looking at the Patriots right now, there is no possible way the Packers beat the Patriots in Boston, so winning today would've effectively clinched the division. So this game is pretty much a wash.
DrunkBomber
QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Dec 12, 2010 -> 04:08 PM) At least the Packers lost for all you Bears fans. Came to post. This sucks though. At least its to the best team in the NFL if thats any consolation. Hopefully it keeps them hungry the next few weeks.

You know, I certainly feel like the Bears have better football in them than they're playing right now, and I'm pretty sure we can't say that about the Patriots. DrunkBomber
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 12, 2010 -> 04:21 PM) Well now we know all of the doubters who felt the Bears weren't a top team were right all along. There may be some truth to this but Im not gonna take too much from this game. The Patriots are the best team in the NFL and have been beating top teams all year. The Bears definitely dont appear to be a championship contender, but the job theyve done this year with what they have has been more than most Bears fans could have imagined. Grinding out 9 wins so far with this offensive line is nothing to overlook. It also appears the the NFC is more winnable then the AFC so if they get in who knows what could happen. Agreed. The Saints are the only team that really scare me, and they have looked shaky at times this year. The Falcons are good but not as good as their record indicates. I believe we could go into the dome and beat them.
Balta1701
I still really think the Bears normal defense is the worst possible matchup for the Patriots. The Bears D has been predicated on forcing the opposing team into the short passing game over and over, that's how they beat the Eagles, that's how they beat the Packers. The problem is that the Patriots win exactly that way. The short passing game, topped off with good run after the catch plays and an improving zone blocking/running scheme. MurcieOne
The only unit that looks like they don't belong on the field against the Pats is the OL.
chw42
This is one of the worst played halfs of football I've seen in years from this Bears team. It's fine that the Patriots are really f***ing good, but the Bears have done nothing right.
