I dont think so, but team/league officials are optimistic apparently.

Since it's not a structurally supported roof, all you need to do is fix the leaks. If the snow stops for a while, you cut out the damaged section(s) and basically iron/sew on a replacement section. That of course assumes no water damage to the playing surface.

via @ZachZaidman -

  • Star Tribune: The Vikings' next at-home game is Dec. 20 against the Chicago Bears. Officials are looking for an alternate site.
  • Star Tribune: Officials remained optimistic roof could be repaired for Bears game, but there's talk of moving game to Univ. of Minnesota
  • Star Tribune: It would take about four days to bring TCF Bank Stadium out of hibernation for the Vikings-Bears game.

a bears win at minnesota (probably at university of minnesota) and a packers loss to the patriots next week clinches the division for the bears

I didn't think this was right at first, but then realized that the Packers' loss to the Lions will guarantee the Bears the best intra-divisional record if they beat they Vikes.

Don't be careless with your long-term health, Aaron.

What's the big deal about Tashard Choice getting Vick's autograph after the game? I mean, I wouldn't do it, but I don't get the big deal over autographs in general - it's a guy's signature. To me, a picture would be way cooler than an autograph with someone. Regardless, Choice grew up in ATL and Vick was a "football superhero" to those kids. If he wants to do it, so what? It's not like he tried less in the game b/c he asked for an autograph after. Sometimes I think people care too much.

DBAH0, are you upset about this (being the resident Cowboys fan)?

If the guy hustled during the game than he completed his job, outside of the game he can ask for anybody's autograph. You would hope he would do it in a bit less visible of a place, but if Vick was really a hero to him than if anything it's a great story, to meet your hero on the football field, play hearts out against him, than talk to him after the game.

*ahem* *points at avy*

I think the big deal is that he did it right there on the field. That & it just looked silly. That's something you can do before the game, or in the locker room perhaps.

As a Cowboys fan, I'm not upset. I laughed at it. It's more like he could of chosen a better time/place to do that.

I'm a Cowboys fan as well and I do think it looked a little silly, but nothing I would be outraged by. And most players do it anyway. I remember tons of athletes on MTV Cribs having signed jerseys of other players. Choice says he did it for his nephew which is even more ultra cool.

that guy on the Jets sideline should be suspended for the rest of the season. What cheap shot.

And so he has... Btw, it was the Jets' Strength and Conditioning coach.

From Chris Mortensen's twitter:

@mortreport Jets suspend Sal Alosi rest of season and fine him $25G - good chunk of salary

Ravens D has been an embarrassment in the 2nd half.

That offense has not been doing them any favors though. Get a couple first downs and give your D a break. They were so gassed on the last drive. That being said, this isn't the same Ravens D as the past 5-10 years. Getting old and have a questionable secondary.

Bears @ Vikings will be played at University of Minn's stadium according to Brad Biggs.

Watching the video of them plowing the snow at that stadium was ridiculous. I heard there was 4-5 ft of snow in there... Is that right?
