GoSox05
I'm guessing that the Packers will cut or trade Nick Barnett and some point, now that AJ Hawk is back. Barnett is due to make 6.5 million next year.
StrangeSox
Apparently the NFL TV contracts were voided yesterday. http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patr...hts_on_imp.html The NFL is obligated to negotiate the television contracts for the betterment of the league and the players. And since it was found through testimony and evidence that the NFL used possible payments during a lockout – to benefit only themselves and to harm the players – as part of the negotiations, the league didn’t act in good faith. So that $4.2 billion the league thought it would have even if there are no games? It can't be touched at this point. Yes, it’s very significant ruling. How significant? We won’t know that until Doty rules on damages at a hearing which has yet to be scheduled. The players could get money damages, their 59.5 percent cut, or it simply could be put in escrow. GoSox05
Johnny Jolly of the Packers had a purple drank problem. Cost him all of last year. I still think that was a bit much.
Kyyle23
QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Mar 4, 2011 -> 11:31 AM) Johnny Jolly of the Packers had a purple drank problem. Cost him all of last year. I still think that was a bit much. He had at least 200 grams of codeine. I think that is a bit much. Second degree felony, it wasnt as if he had a cup with a little bit in the bottom. Second degree felony, it wasnt as if he had a cup with a little bit in the bottom. He also had no criminal history and all he got was probation. Dante Stallworth killed someone and got a year. Mike Vick I think only got a year. I think 8 games would have been good for Jolly.

Steve9347
QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Mar 8, 2011 -> 02:17 PM) Per Rotoworld. Tiki Barber has filed the paperwork to officially come out of retirement. He's out of cash. I'd be surprised if there's interest in a 36 year old who's been out of the game as long as he has.
