chw42
Joel Sherman's not the brightest one out there... But I do have to agree that the second half of our off-season has been absolute crap. However, the Damon signing could heal all wounds. greg775
Our offseason has been blah. We're hoping to strike gold with Omar, Putz, Teahen, Jones, Pierre. I would say none of us can say with any certainty how those guys will perform. We can hope that they perform well. That's what the winter is for. And it still is winter evidenced by me missing a flight today because I sat my ass on I-70 for 2.5 hours as a 30 car pileup got cleared up. It was bad. I hope everybody is OK. LittleHurt05
QUOTE (greg775 @ Feb 14, 2010 -> 11:45 PM) Our offseason has been blah. That's what the winter is for. And it still is winter evidenced by me missing a flight today because I sat my ass on I-70 for 2.5 hours as a 30 car pileup got cleared up. It was bad. I hope everybody is OK. I was in Lawrence and luckily left early enough to miss that accident. As soon as I got to the KC airport and saw that all on TV. Would have been driving home to Chicago instead of flying if we had left any later. I can see why our offseason has been considered sub-par, but I don't think too much more should have been expected. Acquiring Peavy & Rios late last season was our hot stove. We weren't gonna spend much money after picking up thos two $10mil+ contracts.
