chimpy2121
North Carolina squeaks past George Washington on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 10th. Tar Heels win 6-5. We're winning 9-3 in the 7th.
zenryan
We get back one of our best pitchers from 2008(Eric Erickson) after he missed last season due to elbow surgery. Starting pitching should be a strength this year but who knows if we'll improve on our crap offense from 2009. Any type of improvement should make for a pretty decent season. ChiliIrishHammock24
According to some people at my school, we have a chance to break into the top 20, maybe even top 10 nationally. Then again I go to a D-2 school.
Chisoxfn
My #4 Titans were upset by Oregon and there former coach Horton.
chimpy2121
Speaking of Oregon, they got a brand new ballpark that looks awesome.
3GamesToLove
Redbird lost their season opener yesterday. I plan on going to some home games this season. Their ballpark is newly renovated.
zenryan
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Feb 20, 2010 -> 02:45 AM) According to some people at my school, we have a chance to break into the top 20, maybe even top 10 nationally. Then again I go to a D-2 school. There's a lot of talent in D2. When North Florida was ruling D2 back in the late 90s and early 2000s, none of the big 3 Florida schools would play them because losing to a D2 school would look bad. UNF could beat any of those schools on a given day.
3GamesToLove
Are any college games on TV early in the season?
danman31
Mizzou beat Washington 17-6 tonight. They scored 15 unanswered runs. 1-1 after losing to Gonzaga in the opener. They have an all freshmen outfield so it's going to be a crazy year. Mizzou has been to 7 straight regionals, but this will be the first time since 2004 that they won't have a 1st rounder starting on Friday nights and they lost a lot of talent from last year's team. They're bringing in a top 25 class and have a solid bullpen coming back, but they're going to need a lot of newcomers to step up.
Chisoxfn
Titans fall to 0-2. Safe to say they'll be falling in the polls. Shut-out yesterday by Pepperdine. 1st time they've lost there 1st two games at home since 1987.
chimpy2121
Good weekend for FSU. Looks like we're finally back to a solid defensive team after two years of butcher ball. Tapley is still a question mark in the field though. He was supposed to DH to start the season, but with Fr Devon Travis getting hurt, we had to throw him back out there. Justin Gonzalez started at 2b out there today and looked pretty good both defensively and offensively (HR, Triple). So, hopefully that means we can keep Sherman Johnson at 3b and Taps at DH. I can't wait for the UGA series. I also saw UVA is supposed to be the new Baseball America #1. If you guys ever need a good college baseball fix,http://collegebaseball.rivals.com/forum.asp is pretty good. Good forums for discussion and scores. I don't post, but it's good to read. ThunderBolt
I’m currently making overtures to broadcast for my college baseball team. Broadcasting can be incredibly nerve-wracking, but it’s an exhilarating feeling when you hit a grove.

dasox24
Tennessee had a great series this weekend (3-0) even if it was only against Xavier. Won 17-1 yesterday. After I've seen us predicted to finish last in the SEC East, it was nice to see us start the season that way. Morgado (our 3rd rounder last year) was really solid in the opener. I only got a chance to go to Game 3, though, so I didn't see him.
chimpy2121
Our Wednesday game got postponed and tonights game has gotten moved to tomorrow due to Hofstra not being able to fly yesterday. However, there is an 80% chance of rain tomorrow with a chance of snow. I'm hoping we at least get one in this weekend before we have to play UF, the Phillies, and UGA next week. Edit: We won 13-1 and 13-0 today. Sherman Johnson had a pretty good day with 2 HR and 9 RBI. Edited February 27, 2010 by chimpy2121

chimpy2121
Swept Georgia with a combined 38-8 series score. It was a good weekend. Trap game tonight at JU though, hope we win. I'm upset I'm going to miss the UVA series next week, but I'll be on a cruise Damn, 3 outs away from a no hitter. 2-0 FSU victory. Glad we didn't lose, those games are always tough. zenryan
2-1 in ACC play is a nice start but this Miami team still has major issues at the plate. I'm thinking a conference record around 18-12 at best for this team.
Chisoxfn
Fullerton might be waking up. Won 3 straight and are back to .500. Really an ugly start to the season for them.
jphat007
UVA with a big series win in Tallahassee. My Hoos could've swept but Wilson f***ing walked the #9 hitter before a Holt blast. I hate walks.
Wanne
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 15, 2010 -> 11:08 AM) Fullerton might be waking up. Won 3 straight and are back to .500. Really an ugly start to the season for them. ASU at Fullerton for a 2-game set starting tomorrow. ASU with a pretty nice start at 16-0 in the post Murphy era...but really have only played a few good teams to date. I still don't think Josh Spence has pitched this year due to injury. Esmay's done a nice job with them so far... Not sure what I'm gonna do next year. My nephew's committed to play for UofA next season...
