Chisoxfn
So I've decided on my honeymoon and wanted to see if anyone that has been to either place recommends as must sees (or the exact opposite, of things that you had heard about which ultimately were a huge let-down). We are going to have 4 days in London and 5 in Paris and am current planning on doing a couple day-trips outside of each city as well (potentially Bathe, Stonehedge, Brugges, etc). I appreciate all the help!!!
GoSox05
I've been to London. I enjoyed Westminster Abbey, when I went. I also did a Jack the Ripper walking tour, which was really cool. The one I did ended at The Ten Bells pub. The London underground is really a nice way to get around.
spiffalicious
I have been to London twice and I love it. I would recommend getting the London pass. It gives you free entry to a lot of the attractions and coupons for other things. You can also pay more and get a travel card with it that has unlimited tube/bus rides for the length of the card. I would also recommend going to Windsor; admission to the castle is included in the London pass and if you get the travel card, I believe the train is free as well. I didn't get the travel card last time but I remember having to show my pass on the train still. The castle is really pretty and Windsor is a cute town. As for as London, I have basically seen all of the major tourists sites and I liked them all. The London Eye is cool, and depending on when you go, you might be able to go inside Buckingham Palace. I think it's open for 6 weeks in August/September. I went to Paris for a day the first time I was in London. I went on a Tuesday, so most (or all) of the museums were closed that day, so if you are there on a Tuesday, keep that in mind. The only things I saw there were the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame, and I sprained my ankle the day before so I couldn't even walk up to the bell. We did go on a bus tour of the city so we could at least see most of the town, since I was in no condition to walk around.
Rex Kickass
Bruges is nice, but if you're doing a side trip out of Paris, I'd suggest Versailles for obvious reasons, and also Epernay, the cradle of Champagne. Tours at Moet and Chandon, head across the "mountain" to Reims and see the cathedral where they use to coronate French kings.
shipps
That is an awesome honeymoon Gage...a lot better than some boring tropical honeymoon IMO.

The Critic
London is the only place I'd really like to visit, but my wife insists on going to Paris if we ever go to London, so that dampens my desire to go to London. I have absolutely zero interest in ever stepping foot in France.
ChiSox_Sonix
I used to live in Germany so I've been to Paris a few times. It's cool, a lot of stuff to do there. If you are into art and history The Louvre is obviously a must-do. Notre Dame Cathedral is quite impressive as well, as are the Luxembourg Gardens. And although it's kinda cliche and pricey you could always try to get dinner in the Eiffel Tower. The Pantheon there also has some very famous people buried there. I'd also agree with the suggestion to go see Versailles and Reims. Strasbourg is also an interesting city and it is very Germanic so it would give you a slightly different culture experience. Bayeux is also close enough to get to and you could see the Bayeux Tapestry and Mont St Michel is nearby too. Or you could also take a day and do a wine tour of the Champagne region as well. I would recommend avoiding Belgium all together. It could keep you interested for a day I guess but I didn't think much of it. Amsterdam isn't far away and would probably be more enjoyable. As for London, Stonehenge is only a couple hours away so that could be done in addition to another activity the same day. If I ever make it to London I know the Tower of London would be near the top of my list. Canterbury Cathedral is doable by train from London too. If you're into soccer, an EPL match would sure be a lot of fun. And if your fiancee likes to shop she'd love Picadilly Circus. Supposedly it's Londons version of Madison Avenue in NYC
knightni
I'm assuming that once you've seen London, then France, the next obvious destination is underpants.
DBAHO
A lot of my UK Friends on Facebook have been joining Secret London recently, that's got a lot of recommendations if you've got time to check that out. http://www.secret-london.co.uk/Welcome.html
Chisoxfn
Thanks for all of the advice. I'm gonna use this thread to help organize what all I've gotten planned so this weekend (or even later on during the week) I'm going to try and update it with the stuff (based upon guide books I've read, our interests, and the stuff you all have suggested) and put it out there and for those that you that have been and know, maybe you can help group some of the stuff together so we can kill two birds wtih one stone. One other question I have, is there like a Yelp for Europe? I want to try and do more of the neighborhood restaurants as opposed to the super touristy ones. I want to really get a feel for the country, and as a nice side-effect, save scratch. I'm talking more about the restaurants that the locals eat at which have a few things on the menu and in which the menu changes pretty much daily.
