The deafening silence since Saturday leads me to think that the Sox are standing pat. I'm frustrated, especially after KW apparently went aggresively after Damon. I thought maybe the hole at DH was recognized. Anyway, moving on, I am anxious to see how Jones does. If he returns to form, he could be a good pick-up. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but I have a feeling KW will have to be wheeling and dealing towards the trade deadline.

at this point i'd rather stand pat than reach.

it's my assumption that kw is watching the market closely with an eye towards making a deal if the projected need for another bat becomes a real one.

I think that at this point no move will be made until the trade deadline, unless something like injury happens.

The best bet for the Sox to have good contributions this season is for Jones to start the season well and Kotsay to fade into bolivia and play once a week.

Kotsay is way too similar to Darin Erstad and Timo Perez for him to do something like that, don't be silly.
