CanOfCorn
Clear winner. Clear loser. All are sports. All are NOT athletic events. Vice versa...figure skating. VERY athletic, too subjective.

Women playing basketball is an abomination, but basketball is a sport so the WNBA is also a sport.

knightni
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 25, 2010 -> 07:38 PM) so football isn't a sport 400 lb guys are not long for the league. You'll be lucky to find many over 350.
daa84
you can be 400 lbs and play basketball at your rec center and its still a sport. Just cuz you aren't fit to play at a pro level doesn't mean its not a sport. I voted WNBA (albeit a horrible, horrible sport), golf and 16 inch as sports...the rest not ....bowling was on the bubble for me...my test for it being a sport is can you get hurt while performing the physical activity involved..... while you can get hurt in nascar (obviously the most dangerous) the injury isn't really due to physical activity im sure you can strain your neck in billiards but you can strain your neck doing anything by that logic...so it doesn't make it either Edited February 26, 2010 by daa84

whitesoxfan101
To me, there has to be some sort of very common or at least reasonably common occurance which can cause a person to breathe hard from athletic effort for it to be a sport. Thus, I only voted WNBA and 16" softball. And I'd have voted for figure skating if it were on there as well. Steve9347
Why would WNBA ever qualify as not being a sport? I don't see why that would make the list vs the NBA, when they are the exact same game.
