Correct lineup:

Pierre - LF

Beckham - 2B

AJ - C

Jones - CF

Teahen - 3B

Ramirez - SS

Kotsay - DH

Viciedo - 1B

Danks2 - RF

I'll definitely have to DVR this.

Is there ANY chance Jordan Danks is ready this year?

EDIT: Nevermind, sub .700 OPS in AA last year.

Hard to look at the averages as an indicator of his development though.

He was tearing up the league until he got hurt. Then he went into the tank.

But when healthy again in the fall, he tore up the AFL.

So, who knows?

But... I think it's likely that the Sox will take the safe route with him and give him at least one more full year in the minors.

He was still striking out too much in the AFL, but his other numbers look really good. He absolutely needs to start making better contact.

I'd call that number highly deceptive.

This is what happened...

--He tore up A+ in his first significant minor league stop last year, putting up a .934 OPS.

--He got to B-Ham AA and started hot, but was then injured and missed some time after struggling with it

--He came back from injury, and played very well in the AFL

He's not ready most likely, but don't let that number you used tell you anything terribly useful. The key thing for him is getting the K numbers down, right now.

Juan Pierre hasn't scored 100 runs in a season since 2004 (and even then it was exactly 100, hardly seems like a sure thing 6 years later), DJ. And when you're getting nearly 750 PA all in the leadoff spot you BETTER be right around 100 runs scored regardless of who's hitting behind you.

I guess AJ still being boo'ed by Angels fans, LOL.

AJ Pierzynski was voted the most hated player in the league by the fans when Barry Bonds was still in the league. He's going to get booed everywhere.
