Didn't he only make one throw after making a diving stab in the hole? Perhaps I missed something but that's all I saw, I'm thinking 1 throw isn't the best way to judge a player's arm.

Thats why I said small look, I was impressed at his range and expected this rocket throw based on all the hype I've heard and instead saw a lollipop.

First AB I've seen from Teahen all ST, and yes, he's definitely in-between. He also looks to have no confidence either.

He's reminding me of Rios last year on his swing/confidence. Just hope he doesn't feel he as to do too much (changing teams, new environment, etc..). He's used to having good spring training stats, so this is new for him. For a while in these ST games, he was having the worst luck of any hitter on the team. (his BABIP was off the charts)

Luckily it's only spring training so he has time to iron out the kinks. I would still bank on him hitting better during the season than some of these guys (including some guys on our team) hitting .400+ right now. He'll be fine IMO. I was actually more interested in his defense at 3B for a while to be honest.

I know Danks got shelled, but what was wrong, mechanics, location, too much of one pitch, bad umpiring?

Based on what I saw of Teahen yesterday, he seems like he is in the part of the slump where he is closing his eyes and praying his guesses right. Hopefully this is all out of his system in a couple of weeks.

He was working on the location of certain pitches. For example, at one point, he threw 5 curveballs in a row, all aimed at the same location. Same later with his change.

It's the sort of thing pitchers do during spring training to get their work in that they wouldn't do during the season.

Hitters know it and tee off on it.
