Nanita, Reed, Anderson and Chris Young (an outfielder at Bristol nobody talks about but is hitting .327 with 10 doubles, two triples, five homers, 15 steals, 23 RBIs and an obp of .396) are what made Anthony Webster expendable.

Anybody know more about Young?

I believe he was drafted in 2002 out of high school in Texas. He's having a very solid year at Bristol.

Don't forget Ryan Sweeney :D

But your exactly right abuot them making Webster expendable.

Here's what I know about Young:

He was a 16th round pick in 2001 and is from Houston, Texas. He must of been a late sign because his first professional season was last year with Arizona.

He really struggled there hitting .217 with 5 HR and 54 K in 55 games. Basically he's repeating the level going to Bristol (Only difference is they are in a different league).

He's 19 years old and will turn 20 in September. Young was an all state outfielder for Bellaire. He fell to the 16th round in the 2001 draft because of a broken arm which happened extremely late in the 2001 season (Could explain why he didn't play till 2002). The injury required surgery. Young's team was rated #1 in the country that year and they lost 2 or 3 of their best players in the playoffs.

Chuck Knoblach's dad coached Belaire for a long time.

Has good speed, a good arm, good potential. I'd say he's a solid prospect.
