What funk? The season hasn't started yet. And you're obviously entitled to your opinion, but how could anybody pick the Mets to win anything with that rotation sans Santana?

Diamondbacks will win the WC (dark horse/Reds surprise but fall just short)

Mariners will win the AL West.

White Sox will win the central when KW trades for a bat by the deadline

Royals will finish higher than the Indians this year.

Rockies will win the NL West.

Diamondbacks win the W.S. in an upset. :o

Teahen will explode (.850+ OPS)

I will not hate Juan Pierre as much as I expect.

Tony Pena becomes our new 8th inning guy with Thornton.

Dan Hudson (who we won't trade) will take over the 5th spot over Freddy by mid-season (either by Freddy sucking or injury)

Hard to envision acquiring an impact bat without Hudson somehow being involved (not to mention not having Mitchell as a trade chip).

KW will find a way. Mitchell even injured is still a good prospect, and this is not counting a potential "PTBNL" from the draft this year and even with that.. we can sexy up the farm. These are bold predictions J4L.. so you know as much as anyone else unless your telling me you turned into Nostradamus. Besides.. I wasn't necessarily talking about an Adrian Gonzalez type impact bat either.

My bold prediction:

Everyone will learn how to spell Vizquel and Freddy by years end.

:P

More people have trouble with Teahen or.. Teahan.

I don't think Berkman would cost us Hudson. I'd qualify him as an impact bat.

Oh yeah my bold prediction: we acquire Berkman at the end of June/early july.

You can't even trade a player from the current year's draft as a PTBNL until like January, so that is completely ruled out.

-Mark Kotsay is a man-pretty version of Darin Erstad

-Adrian Gonzalez is traded to either the Mariners or Athletics

-Jim Thome hits 20+ home runs

Well I did say "not counting" (more or less talking about restocking if the guys we got are gone) but thanks for the clear up.

Omar Vizquel DH's at least 5 times.

We should really have a over/under number around here. Nice call though, forgot to think of that.

Here's my BOLD predictions:

1. Andruw Jones will lead the White Sox in home runs.

2. Gordon Beckham will make the All Star game as a starting 2nd baseman.

3. Jake Peavy will win the AL Cy Young.

4. Jenks will go on the DL and Guillen will try Sergio Santos as a closer... and it'll stick.

5. AJ Pierzynski will sign a contract extension in July, so he can be here to tutor Flowers in 2011 and 2012.

6. The White Sox will win 91 games in 2010 and win AL Central.

7. The White Sox and Cubs will get into another Crosstown Classic brawl, this time it's started after Peavy and Zambrano get a little too intense after Zambrano hits Peavy on the elbow with a pitch at Wrigley Field.

Alexei Ramirez wins a GG. Has anyone noticed that he is playing great defense this spring?

I would really like to agree with this, but I just don't think that he (or anyone else for that matter) has a chance until "Jeetah" retires.

Well, ok. But regardless of whether he actually wins the award, I think he will become a great defensive SS.

Bold Predicition:

Wise comes back to the White Sox midseason as a power hitter after he makes himself a bat crafted out of a branch that fell from the tallest tree in the park, which he happened to be standing under during a powerful thunderstorm. He calls it Wonderbat.

Signed after a 9 game losing streak threatens to end Sox playoff chances, the White Sox carried on the shoulders of the Wonderbat improbably win it all, despite being the biggest underdogs in summer camp!
