BUT THE FACT THAT WE HAVE FIVE PLAYERS THAT ARE IDENTIFIED AS OUTFIELDERS MEANS WE ARE SO FLEXIBLE!

Well, two of these "conundrum" situations are only conundrums because the players are too good defensively. We really ARE flexible in the outfield.

My bold prediction?

162-0

There, it's been said. Boldly.

The Sox and Twins come down to a one game playoff to determine ALC champ. With Bases loaded, 2 outs in the 9th, Thome comes to bat, Sox put on the shift and he grounds out to shallow right field like the million times he did in a Sox uniform!!!!

:lolhitting :lolhitting :gosox1:

No, my prediction is the same as yours except he hits a home run to center like he did a million times in a Sox uniform.

As long as we're tossing out crazy scenarios.

Game 7 World Series at the Cell, Sox vs. Cubs.

Buehrle & Zambrano throwing perfect games into the 9th.

Bottom of the ninth with 2 outs, Konerko steps to the plate (He didn't start because Gonzalez is now the 1B and Paulie's thumb was acting up after Game 6).

He hits a HR that breaks Borchards record.

Cubdom destroyed, Paulie & Buehrle (who has a perfect game in the WS now) continue being awesome, Gordon leads the giant sing-a-long of Your Love at The Cell during the postgame.

If the Sox make another playoff run, the theme song should be Your Love.

1 - White Sox finish 2nd in the AL Central to Detroit. They finish above .500 though.

2 - Dan Hudson will be in our rotation before July.

3 - A new lefty DH will be brought in at the deadline to replace Kotsay.

4 - Juan Pierre won't put up an OBP above .330.

5 - Buehrle will have an ERA above 4 for the first time in a few seasons.

The Mariners win the AL West and the Angels finally miss the playoffs.

Jerry Manuel to be the first manager fired, and he'll go at the same time as Omar Minaya as Jeff Wilpon cleans house.

Brandon Webb is dealt before the deadline.

Red Sox win the AL East, Yankees the wild-card.

Phillies win the NL East.

Giants win the NL West, Rockies get the wild-card.

Cardinals win the NL Central.

Quentin hits 40 Homers, finishes in top 5 MVP voting.

Pierre is caught stealing 25 times.

Jenks maintains closer role, but performs poorly most of the season.

Floyd emerges as the staff ace, on the strength of a more consistent curveball.

Teahen is replaced by Morel by July 1.

Andrew Jones has over 500 PAs, and performs adequately.

Mark Kotsay stays bad.
