The most obnoxious thing is Hawk's already making excuses for the bad offense. Rios K'd on a pitch a foot low and a foot off the plate, and he's stating how nasty the pitch was.

I was getting pissed that I have to watch the Indians broadcast again, but it seems like I'm better off.

What the f*** does the lineup have to do with a terrible approach at the plate, collectively.

Because this is one of the worst lineups in all of baseball, there's only so much you can do with it. Trust me, a lot of us loved to blame Walker in previous years also.

You think because this is my first day of posting, it's the first White Sox baseball game I've seen? The hitters' approach at the plate is just gross leading me to believe it's the coaching and not some amazing coincidence.

No, I'm saying that most of us on here aren't going to turn every bad scoring game into a Fire Walker thread.

I hate when Gavin has a great curve/slider working, yet he continues to get beat by his fastball.

What can he do when the umps haven't been calling a ton of his curves for balls. The Indians announcers have been really impressed with Gavin and have been ragging on the umps for not helping him on some of his hooks. Gavin is so f***ing good.

Yep, I'm of the opinion he'll be our ace by end of year.

And Hawk, that was a terrible pitch that Konerko chased!

No offense, but if you guys are going to b**** about the offense, give it a few days. It is the 3rd game of the season and at this point, offensive production tends to be lower anyway because the pitchers tend to have the advantage early in the major league season.

BTW, I missed the top of the first, but since then, this ump has had a gigantic strike zone.

Ha, that's laughable.

The makeup of the lineup has everything to with how responsible Walker is. Ozzie has overseen the construction of a lineup where half of his guys either haven't hit in years, or don't hit for the first month of the season. Walker can tell them to tweak and adjust, but he can't tell them how to hit.

I can't put him ahead of Peavy because Peavy has such f***ing good stuff and stones of steal, but I do think Gavin is a guy that could be a legitimate number one. He's good a good fastball, one of the best curves in baseball, a solid slider, and a very good changeup. And he keeps getting better. I love me some Gavin.

This is true.

These arms are young, fresh, and lively compared to the slow, heavy bats these guys are swinging right now, especially in the cold.
