Calm down and tell me why a bunt is so bad there.

We need one f***ing run.

Get serious people. It's a decent call.

Because we signed Pierre because he steals bases. Why not steal a base and not give up the bat for one of, if not the best hitter on your team? Just a terrible decision.

If it was a slow base runner, I got nothing against it. But it's Juan Pierre. He was brought here to steal bases and he's been on three times today, yet he hasn't even attempted a steal yet.

I think almost every manager in baseball would bunt there. It's the bottom of the ninth. We need one run.

It may not work but we're one f***ing single from a victory right now.

And a good manager would walk Quentin here, effectively taking the bat out of the hands of our 2 best hitters. Milwaukee played this same way a few seasons ago, and Fielder/Braun suffered because of it.

ugh i'll say it again

Pierre can STEAL second. That's why we BROUGHT him here.

then if you desperately want to give up an out, bunt him to 3rd base where even a sac fly will score him!

so fundamentally obvious.

It's not going to work with this team. You're taking the bat out of the hands of our best overall hitter. I'm fine bunting if Pierre's on 2nd with no outs.

I'm not saying I'd have done this with Beckham up, but I understand the logic in it and I don't think its a terrible move. Now we have 2 guys up (2 of our 3 best bats) and all it takes is a basehit by one of them and we win.

You're saying Konerko's not one of our 2 best hitters right now?

Or you take the bat out of one of their hands and set up the DP.
