Yep.

Fools gold when you are signing him.

I pay no attention to the "Amare started playing defense for the first time ever" articles that were coming out just before the playoffs.

He's going to get the max. No question about it. And some team is going to seriously regret that down the road. I just hope the Bulls aren't the stupid ones.

Stick to hockey.

If the Lakers pulled that off (again) I might be done with the NBA (unless we get LeBron, then I'll jump right back in it :D).

Their plan from what I've heard is they will stick Arenas at SG, no questions asked. (dude still has a big contract afterall) If Kirk Hinrich's 6'3 ass was playing SG with us and we got to the playoffs, I'm sure they will be fine with Arenas playing SG for them with a talent like Wall.

Hinrich can guard 2's though. Hence him being a 2nd team all defensive player a couple years back and a runner up this past year.

If the Bulls get rid of Deng's contract and wind up bringing Amare in the deal, then I probably wouldn't mind. Otherwise, yeah, I still don't like his game.

I'd almost look at Arenas playing a Jamal Crawford type of role off the bench long - term if they had a decent enough 2 guard. Probably makes Randy Foye very attainable as well (if he's not a FA).

That is quite an expensive 6th man

Ok, so the Wizards need front court depth and the 76ers need backcourt help.

Brand for Arenas.

It is, but good luck to the other 3 guys on the Wizards trying to get shots while Wall and Arenas are both on the court at the same time.

They should build around Wall and Blatche, and give Arenas that Jason Terry type of role which is what he's best at, instant offense.

I don't know if long - term the Wizards want Blatche playing center, when he's probably more suited to a PF role.

And Philly has so many guards already, and they'll probably draft another one in Taylor.

Dalembert + something is probably more realistic I'd say.

Just an update of where the Bulls coaching search is at;

Chicago: The Bulls are in a holding pattern. Sources close to the situation say the Bulls are not moving at any defined pace. The Bulls have had prospects and players working out at the Berto Center under the guidance of Randy Brown, who is handling the day to day needs until a coaching staff is hired. Lawrence Frank, Maurice Cheeks and Tom Thibodeau are considered the front runners to interview in the coming days. Former Wolves' executive Kevin McHale has more than a passing interest in the job and has openly campaigned for it. An interesting name has been floating around the Draft Combine, and that's Kelvin Sampson, who has been working with Scott Skiles in Milwaukee as an assistant coach. Bulls' GM Gar Forman may meet with some of the candidates this week while some are in Chicago for the NBA Draft Combine, but they are taking their time with this hire.

JVG was selling Thibodeau as a decent enough offensive mind on the Celtics - Magic broadcast the other night also, although I'd agree that you'd need to bring in a John Kuester type of assistant coach next to him in all likelihood.

I think he might be waiting for the Boston job when Rivers resigns though.

Henry wont be there for the Bulls.

Just like Wade wasnt there and they had to take Hinrich.

Book it.

Though he has the higher potential, I would much prefer Anderson anyways and his shooting (think he is the best fit anyways) I will not be picky if either guy falls that far hopefully, though people have Anderson rated higher than Henry.
