This f***ing Predators team is hooking, holding, and obstructing like I've never seen before yet they are getting away with it.

im assuming you are talking about what was happenin between one of the preds and versteeg behind our goal...not sure how taht wasn't a penalty

Well, that, and pretty much anytime a Blackhawk is attempting to chase down a puck with speed and athleticism and is slowed by a nudge or a grab by the Preds. The NHL changed rules for a reason, yet they seem to have thrown these penalties out tonight.

The Predators are a nightmare 1st round matchup.

The way the Hawks played after the Olympics, the Edmonton Oilers would have been a nightmare matchup. Maybe if they would have taken care of business on the last day and won the 1st seed...

Rinne was just outstanding. If the Preds win this series and go far, it will be because of him. (defense is outstanding too, but Rinne keeps them in it)

BTW, great game on Versus. Sharks-Avs tied 1-1 heading to OT. This is the 3rd staright overtime these two will play.

EDIT: Sharks win 2-1 in OT. Series tied 2-2.

I can't believe what is happening. Hawks are in serious trouble.

We don't get the games on TV here. How is the Nashville crowd? Is it a serious home ice advantage? Or is it dead in there?

Obviously Thursday's game is the whole enchilada. Win or it's likely OVA.

Well serves me right for being optimistic, I won't make that mistake again with this squad. They didn't even look ready to play tonight, which is inexcuseable. Better be ready for game 4, because you're next to dead if you don't get that one. Niemi has given up one bad goal in 3 games, I would have told you the series is 3-0 Hawks if you would have given me that nugget before the series.

The offense simply is not using the mixture of patience and common sense it takes to beat the trap right now, and combine that with Rinne playing well and it's a big problem. Obviously forechecking, simple passes, screens, shots when they are available, logical things like that are needed to beat this trap. But the Hawks haven't done anything like that in this series so far, it's just been the same old cute crap with too many long passes/passes in general and not enough shots and bodies in front along with a forecheck. Also, it'd be nice if the captain decided to show up for this series at some point. A lot of people haven't shown up obviously, but Toews' absence has been especially noteable.

I got a chance to go to the game, and the crowd went pretty wild, they had some real loud chants and were behind the Predators the whole game... It wasn't sold out though which blows my mind ( it was about 90% full).

theres a crowd, and theres certainly an advantage for them, but its nothing like it is in our building, and nothing like it was in vancouver last year
