jphat007
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 18, 2010 -> 01:42 PM) They're down 1-0 in the 7th and you've all but deemed the game over. You're getting kinda pathetic. Well, even if they came back and won, they still suck. That was my point.
fathom
I CAN'T BELIEVE KOTSAY JUST GROUNDED OUT TO 2ND BASE! It's time to release him.
S_R_N83
weak ground ball to the right side...yup.. could have called that one
caulfield12
UMMM. Glad Kotsay's OPS (sub 440 now) is about the same as Mauer or Morneau's OBP. You know, it might help to have Andruw Jones or Quentin there with an actual chance to do some damage and get it back to a 1 run game. Oooops, I forgot Kotsay has one homer. GoodAsGould
Of course a chance to make it a competitive game with our 3 hitter up and he grounds out, oh Kotsay was our 3 hitter makes sense.
bschmaranz
I've been out all day, just got home and looked at the box score.... Is Kotsay seriously batting 3rd? Are Quentin AND Jones NOT playing? I've never joined the "Fire Ozzie" bandwagon but s***, maybe I should.

caulfield12
Santos time. Great job T-Pain. Wonder if Santos can keep the momentum going on his early season success? Still hasn't given up a hit yet on the year. 10 strikeouts. Edited April 18, 2010 by caulfield12

ThunderBolt
13 MPH difference between Santos' heat and his change. That's excellent.
caulfield12
I think we need to let Santos pitch and DH for Kotsay like in Little League...is that allowed?
jphat007
How long until Santos is arbitration eligible?

ThunderBolt
97 MPH heat, an 84 MPH change, a 87 MPH curve, and an 86 MPH slider. Amazing. All that in ONE year.
ThunderBolt
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 18, 2010 -> 02:50 PM) I think we need to let Santos pitch and DH for Kotsay like in Little League...is that allowed? Hell, with Santos' pedigree might as well let him hit too.
caulfield12
Well, it was due to happen....first base hit allowed. What was Redmond thinking? Out by the same distance as Hardy... By the way, the Indians' announcers were recalling how Santos was legendary for his BP tape measure home runs and hit 20 in one season...interesting, he's a big dude, so not surprising. How much did we pay for him last APRIL when we made that deal with SF?
fathom
I just hope Santos can stay healthy and maintain velocity all season. By far the only thing really entertaining to watch so far.
