greg775
Is Maggs the best player in White Sox history? Think about it. It might be Maggs. Are we gonna win a World Series with the best player in Sox history? Sure hope so.

southsider2k5
Not even close yet. MAYBE talk to me in 5 years. Frank and Joe Jackson dwarf what Maggs has done, in context. And really guys like Aparicio, Fisk, Baines and others have had much better careers here.

Um, when he's got HOF numbers and has played for around 10 years at a high level, then you can start to question whether he's the best player in Sox club history. Jordan4life_2003
Here's a good question? Frank of 93 and 94 or Maggs of 02 and now? That's a tough one right there...

Frank of the 90's, unless Maggs can keep up his pace of July for the rest of the year and ends up at about .350 and 45 HRs and 150 RBI's

VAfan
Frank's career OPS is 1.000. Maggs has never exceeded that in any single year. But he's gonna do it this year. I think the way Maggs is seeing the ball, he might have a shot at the batting title this year, though its a tall order for a right hander. greg775
I might get back with ya in 5-10 years. Folks, I seriously think it might be Maggs.
clujer420
Magglio will never be as feared as Frank was in the 90's, IMO. Also, until Magglio can walk 100+ times on a consistent basis, he'll never be at the level that Thomas was in his prime.

Spiff
Magglio has the potential to be, because of his defense and the couple down years that Frank had in the late nineties and 2002 (i know injuries were a factor, but still). If he keeps up what he's done so far, I don't think it's out of the question.
YASNY
As good as Maggs is, there is no way you can compare him to what Frank did in the early to mid '90's. And as for MVP, playoffs or not for us... Delgado is having a monster year.
