fathom
QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Apr 25, 2010 -> 08:39 PM) Why NOT just give Lucy some starts? What could it possibly hurt, ANYONE could match AJ's production this season Do you honestly think Ozzie would give a young bench guy playing time over one of the veterans? Truth be told, not many managers would.

fathom
QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 25, 2010 -> 08:40 PM) That was a perfect bunt. If you can't get on base with a bunt like that, you should never bunt. Yeah, how dare Chone require Danks to make a perfect play. Danks hangs another pitch, and we're tied. He's off with his location so far today. BigSqwert
The decision to bat AJ 5th hurt us. Ducks on the pond in the 1st inning and we had our worst hitter up to bat.
Heads22
QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 25, 2010 -> 02:41 PM) Yeah, how dare Chone require Danks to make a perfect play. Danks hangs another pitch, and we're tied. He's off with his location so far today. And he's still looked pretty good. Who's gonna require Danks to be more perfect today? Figgins on that bunt or our offense?
greg775
I'm sure Chone will be a White Sox in about five years. He's on the lifetime wish list of Oz and Ken as well.

If you can't get on base with a bunt like that, you should never bunt. What a load of garbage. You do realize that the grass was wet, which is why the ball died, and Danks had a chance to field it, right?

Ozzie knows what's going on in the locker room, so he'll make decisions based on that.

JohnCangelosi
Do any sports writers have the balls to ask Ozzie outright something like: "AJ looks lost out there right now. How much longer can you bat him in the 5 slot without significantly hurting the team?" I mean, WTF!?!!?!?!?
fathom
I feel like if we just don't swing, Vargas will walk all of our hitters. Walker probably forgot to tell everyone but Konerko and Rios that he throws a change-up.

Ozzie knows what's going on in the locker room, so he'll make decisions based on that. And his R/L/R fascination is for s***. What the f*** good has it done for us? We're one of the worst hitting teams in all of baseball. Have Jones, PK, Rios and Q hit consecutively. How much worse could the result be?

We're one of the worst hitting teams in all of baseball. Have Jones, PK, Rios and Q hit consecutively. How much worse could the result be? It's truly insane, and continues to just hurt our lineup even more (as if he didn't do enough damage to it this offseason). Another fast inning for our offense. We're yet to hit a ball hard today.
