1 f***ing hit in 3 innings against a pitcher who's down 7 mph with their velocity. Who's the fall guy when we get swept on this road trip?

Should have some huge walk up numbers next week after our 0-6 road trip.

I thought the GIDP's would be signifcantly lower in number this year with the increase in speed in our lineup. Boy was I wrong...

Unless you have a team of Jacoby Ellsburys, nothing can prevent tailor made double plays.

Nice to see you found another whipping boy now that Rios is hitting.

Just one? I have like 8 this year. They all suck. And while Rios is a really solid player while hitting like this (and I'm serious there), it's not like he's got a 950+ OPS for his 12 mil.

I laughed when Teahen was one of the choices for most surprising player. You mean the guy hitting .273 with 2 homers? Crap, how low were people's expectations for him?

I am glad you are the official bean counter for the club. I could care less if they spend 12 million on a guy who plays well, over having a cheap stroke running out in CF or a guy who projects as a bench guy doing the same thing.

If he's really hurt, why's he pitching? It's not like the Sox are in a race and that, even at 75%, he's helping. As somebody posted earlier, he's too much of an investment... Even if it's a terrible investment, they still must write him the checks.

I agree. It would make no sense to pitch a guy who was hurt that you have so much money invested in

Well my train of thought was more towards eliminating the double plays that normally wouldn't be if it wasn't for our slow ass lineup last year. Now we just hit a lot more easy ground balls.

P.S. WHY IS KOTSAY STILL IN THE LINEUP. I DONT CARE WHAT ARM THE PITCHER THROWS WITH! AND OMAR VIZQUEL IS 103 YEARS OLD! GREAT IF HE IS TUTORING ALEXEI AT SS! THEY HAVE A NAME FOR PEOPLE WHO DO THAT, THEY ARE CALLED COACHES!

And thats my rant for the day, thank you very much

I don't care how much they spend unless it interferes with getting good players that we need on this team. In this offseason it obviously had that affect. If we were spending 200 million a year I wouldn't care about the salary.
