So...AJ finally has a good game yesterday, and Ozzie benches him in favor of Lucy, vs. a pitcher that AJ is 8-22 against lifetime...hmmmm.

Alexei leading off is rediculous. One walk all season. You might as well keep Pierre in the lead off spot if you're going to go that route. You get more extra-basehit potential but less speed....

Lucy's been Garcia's catcher - hasn't he?

Garcia's made 3 starts this year, this will be the 2nd time Lucy's caught him. The 1 time Lucy caught him he lasted 3 innings and allowed 7 runs. In his 2 outings with AJ behind the plate he went for a total of 14 IP and posted an ERA of 2.57 with an opponent's line of .111/.231/.289/.520.

So, this move is a double-puzzler, then.

This has everything to do with Pettite starting. If a RHP were going for the Yankees, AJP would be catching and most likely Teahen leading off. AJ obviously has decent numbers against Pettite but I don't know how hard he's hit him, and an 0 fer could lead AJ down the path of slump again.

Saw the line-up and I thought it was a joke.

Second thought, hope Jones doesn't have Thome-esque issues and it doesn't end up lingering.

Who's our next option? Danks or Gartrell? I guess Kotsay would be playing against a RHP. Seems very dangerous to start Nix over Kotsay defensively, no matter how bad Kotsay has been hitting so far....Nix is more acclimated to playing LF, yes?
