If we're gonna pull one out this series it looks like it needs to be today.

I would assume Omar Vizquel's .714 average vs. Javy is going to tempt Ozzie to give him another start...please no.

Yup, Vizquel is playing SS today I assume he's also leading off? Don't have the lineup yet.

Unreal- just looking at him on the bench yesterday he looked like one of the coaches, well past his prime and there is no way we should be leading him off- let's wait and see what the lineup is

I just don't understand playing Pierre over Rios, this is laughable

This. Pierre is a glorified PR at this point.

I might as well say this now so that I don't have to waste my time in the game thread: Javy Vazquez will dominate the Sox today because he always fares well against National League teams.

Rios won't be in the lineup today or tomorrow because he returned to Chicago for the birth of his child. per Merkin/Gonzales

Bad timing, couldn't she have waited until Monday when at least he was in Chicago?

Vizquel, ss

Beckham, 2b

Jones, CF

Kong, 1B

Teahen, 3B

CQ, DH

AJ, C

Kotsay, RF

Pierre, LF

Rios not in the lineup, he went 2-4 yesterday.

Fire this f***ing clown, I'm done

I'm sorry....but at what point is Donny Lucy hitting well enough to DH him or AJ and we can have both of them in the order on days like this? It would save us from having to have Kotsay and Vizquel in the same order...Lucy, as far as I can tell, is hitting the ball as well as anyone...

At what point do we start rooting for Vizquel and Kotsay to just CONTINUE to go 0-4 every start they get so they can be DFA'd? It's becoming obvious this team won't contend with those guys on the roster, and maybe it would lead the way to some younger guys getting at bats during the final few months of the season.
