ChiliIrishHammock24
Nolan Reimold is doing even worse than Beckham. Hitting for a lower average, striking out at a higher pace. Not like that's an excuse for Beckham, but it's not just him right now.
caulfield12
Are we really bunting Konerko over to 2nd? Seems like a good way to get him thrown out at second or home on a single...

Dick Allen
No wonder why the Sox don't win the WS every year. The umpires are against them, as are the schedule makers.
ChiliIrishHammock24
QUOTE (He_Gawn @ May 2, 2010 -> 01:00 PM) No offense, but why in the hell would you want to go to college in Rensselaer? haha Legacy. I am transferrring to Ball State next year though.
Dick Allen
Teahen strikes out a lot.
fathom
In a real offense, Teahen should be batting 9th (or maybe a utility player). Teahen is the anti-Sox player of the past few years, as he can't pull the ball to save his life.
fathom
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 2, 2010 -> 06:14 PM) Teahen strikes out a lot. He really is just an awful fit for the Sox.

Dick Allen
Gardenhire said Mauer is week to week rather than day to day with his heel injury. If only the Sox could get hot.
Balta1701
QUOTE (fathom @ May 2, 2010 -> 02:15 PM) He really is just an awful fit for the Sox. Yeah. We really need fewer LH batters who can take a walk.
fathom
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 2, 2010 -> 06:16 PM) Yeah. We really need fewer LH batters who can take a walk. He's not known for taking a lot of walks. We wanted to improve our defense, so we went out and got an incredibly mediocre defensive 3rd baseman. He's not fast, and we wanted to improve our speed. It's an incredible waste of 15 million for the next 3 years.

Dick Allen
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 2, 2010 -> 01:16 PM) Yeah. We really need fewer LH batters who can take a walk. Over the course of his career he really hasn't taken many walks. Maybe he's changed, but I would expect his walk rate to dip a bit, besides guaranteeing a guy $15 million and the one plus in his game is walking seems like a poor use of resources. Dick Allen
QUOTE (fathom @ May 2, 2010 -> 01:19 PM) What's the injury? That would be a shame if he had plantar fascitis. He stepped on first base awkwardly and his heel is so sore he can't put spikes on. They really haven't gone any further with it.
