Balta1701
QUOTE (justBLAZE @ May 2, 2010 -> 03:00 PM) Yup. So, I'm to believe it was no where near Cano yet Cano knocked it down? My god, he's a jedi!

It actually had side spin on it that brought it closer to him after it hit the ground initially.
justBLAZE
If you look at the schedule, May isn't bad except the trip to Tampa at the end. In June we are playing the likes of Tex, Cle, Cubs X 2, Pit, Flo, Atl, KC

In June we are playing the likes of Tex, Cle, Cubs X 2, Pit, Flo, Atl, KC Texas, the Cubs, and Florida can really hit. I can't believe Atlanta has played as poorly as they have this season. jeffro2525
QUOTE (fathom @ May 2, 2010 -> 02:00 PM) The reason I say next week is cause of the brutal road trip the following week. I wouldn't call 2 in Minnesota, 3 in KC and 2 in Detroit "brutal"...but yeah...it would be nice to make up some ground this week.
justBLAZE
QUOTE (fathom @ May 2, 2010 -> 02:05 PM) Texas, the Cubs, and Florida can really hit. I can't believe Atlanta has played as poorly as they have this season. Maybe Peavy can shine against the NL like he used to. Bottom line is, we have to win games against our divisional foes. Damn you Swisher, he's having a good series afterall
Balta1701
QUOTE (fathom @ May 2, 2010 -> 03:05 PM) Texas, the Cubs, and Florida can really hit. I can't believe Atlanta has played as poorly as they have this season. Florida is 7th in the NL in runs scored, 10th in OPS, 12th in HR. Cubs are 5th in the NL in runs scored, 5th in OPS. They're both at best "slightly-somewhat above average". Unlike our pitching staff.

jeffro2525
a comptetetive series turning in to us just being completely out-classed today. Crap... Edited May 2, 2010 by jeffro2525
jphat007
The rightside of our bullpen is pretty bad. Tho the left side has been s*** lately too. At least we have Santos.
fathom
I'm proud of Hawk for referencing how lucky we've been with pitching match-ups so far this year. No Felix Hernandez, C.C., and now Greinke.

Dick Allen
Since every game the White Sox don't hit, Walker gets a lot of crap, when does Cooper start getting questioned? Walker didn't have the luxury of working with the greatest starting staff as the chairman called them, nor did he have resources spent on a bullpen. I'm not saying spending money on pitching is wrong, I just wonder how every slump is Walker's fault, and on the other side of the coin pitchers getting lit up has nothing to do with the pitching coach? jeffro2525
I hate days like today. We look so uncompetitive. We're grounding out to the pitcher while they keep ripping singles and homers...The offensive disparities between these two teams is really sad. Dick Allen
QUOTE (fathom @ May 2, 2010 -> 02:14 PM) The whole team or the starters? The whole team. If it was just the starters, there would be even bigger problems. 44% of games giving up 6 runs or more isn't good for a team built on pitching.
