southsider2k5
I said it in the game thread, but Peavy was vintage. His cutter was moving sideways, his fastball had a tail, and his slider just was diving. That is the Jake Peavy we served up a pile of players and money for. kjshoe04
Peavy was a blast to watch tonight. Hopefully we see more of that.
chw42
It looks like Peavy has worked out his mechanical kinks. Let's hope he has fixed it forever.
jeffro2525
I'm so happy. Floyd follows Peavys performance and gets outta his funk...I know this.
flavum
Jake was great. I hope he has turned the corner and won't look back. Mark Kotsay is worthless as a starting player. Maybe Ozzie will realize this some day. And if he does have to start because of an injury, it won't be any higher than 7 in the lineup. Jordan4life_2007
JP has given up 1 ER in his last 12 1/3 IP. I think he's figured it out.
ThunderBolt
QUOTE (flavum @ May 3, 2010 -> 10:43 PM) Jake was great. I hope he has turned the corner and won't look back. Mark Kotsay is worthless as a starting player. Maybe Ozzie will realize this some day. And if he does have to start because of an injury, it won't be any higher than 7 in the lineup. D-Wheezy had 153 at-bats for us last year. So, Kotsay's due for about a 110 more and then we'll be ready to cut the chord.
flavum
If anyone went to the game is reading this, what were people booing about in the 3rd inning? Good fight?

chisoxfan09
I think the most stylish way to celebrate the birth of a child is to make another one. So I´m curious is Rios the real deal now this year? He sure looks like after a month and change.

Well if you watched him last year compared to this year it's like it's not even the same player.

Princess Dye
QUOTE (chisoxfan09 @ May 3, 2010 -> 09:57 PM) So I´m curious is Rios the real deal now this year? He sure looks like after a month and change. He's had a respectable career minus one year. If he's the tempermental type, as some have said, then maybe that explains how a trade could create such a disturbance in his game mid year. bmags
Caught my first sox game of the year. Rios was great tonight. Beckham made a great play at second. Also: I think i underestimated how popular scotty pods is with most sox fans. Also, Jones and Alexei were smokin the s*** out of the ball. So did paulie. The Royals 3b was like target practice out there. Also, BS is right, it was a cubs fan starting s*** in LF.
chw42
So I didn't realize all this Justin Bieber crap was all about. Then I see that Justin Bieber threw out the first pitch. I am very saddened by this.
