Interesting game notes:

The White Sox are 10-3 when they score at least four runs, and they're 1-13 when they score three or less.

...The White Sox have struck out 135 times, the fewest of any big league team.

... Kansas City's bullpen has allowed just one earned run in its past 11 innings.

I love how lefty "specialist" Dusty Hughes comes in yesterday for KC and gives up hits to every lefty he faces (AJ homer, Pierre single, Teahen single) and gets out the two right handers he faces. I doubt we'll get the opportunity to see him again...

If it's tied or we trail heading to the eighth, I wouldn't be suprised if we see two innings of Soria tonight.

I don't mind the lineup, but for all that is holy, make CQ DH and let Pierre play the field. Its not like there is an advantage at all to either one of them being out in the field, and CQ will just get hurt quicker out there.

STRIKEOUT LEADERS

Teahen 21/76=27.6%

Beckham 20/94=21.3%

A. Jones 20/70=28.6%

ON THE PLUS SIDE

Pierre (4), AJ (5), Vizquel and Kotsay (2/48) rarely strike out. The problem is that they wouldn't be feared by the Chinese Taipei 13 and under Little League infield playing on a mini-field at Williamsport.

HOWEVER, Paulie, Rios, TCQ and Sexy Alexei are all striking out at improved percentages compared to their career numbers.

So, to summarize...big concerns about Teahen and Becks, although Gordo's walks are encouraging the last 2 games.
