Brian
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 8, 2010 -> 04:16 PM) Perhaps you didn't catch the post where lefties are hitless against Cecil this year. And Jayson Nix's .083 average against lefties is going to spark us?
SoxAce
QUOTE (jeffro2525 @ May 8, 2010 -> 03:44 PM) Becks back in, batting second. I bet that one night off did him a world of good. Ozzie is all talk. Reminds me of the "Pierre will be benched a few games, and will hit 9th when he's in" only to have Pierre still in the line-up the next day. (though to give him credit, Pierre batted 9th for 2 games) Edited May 8, 2010 by SoxAce
MattZakrowski
QUOTE (Brian @ May 8, 2010 -> 06:55 PM) And Jayson Nix's .083 average against lefties is going to spark us? In 12 AB's. Totally definitive sample.

ThunderBolt
I don't understand why Nix is on the team. It's a wasted roster spot, that would be better served on a 13th pitcher.

fathom
Doesn't seem like Peavy is comfortable, as he keeps stretching out. And oh boy, Pierre just loses an easy foul fly ball.

caulfield12
Great reaction Pierre. Was adjusting his sunglasses and totally gave up on a ball that should have been caught in FOUL territory. Ridiculous. Peavy at 90-92 on the gun I'm watching. Last two pitches at 93-94. Seems he's close to being 100% after the slow start to the season. Harry Chappas
Miserable weather, miserable team As was pointed out all offseason Vizquel will get way too many at-bats this year. People can talk all they want about players needing to produce the fact is the manager needs to put the right players in as best position as possible to succeed. caulfield12
I'm to the point I'd rather see Jayson Nix leading off and playing LF. Seriously. Edited May 8, 2010 by caulfield12

The MO has been to attack him after 2 strikes to the outside, down and away.....with offspeed stuff. Gordon has to get that inside-out swing to RCF and up the middle going with those pitches. Paulie, Paulie, Paulie (Molitor).....Yoooooo, Adrian!!!!! Edited May 8, 2010 by caulfield12
