Yes, it hit his hand, but no, it was not intentional. It didn't cost them a goal. Yes, Findley is now out of the next match, but people wanted Buddle to start over him anyway. Worst call ever? It doesn't really matter all that much to the ref if the ball doesn't change direction that much so long as he sees that it made contact with the hand. Anywhere else on the field it's probably play on, but because it was in the attacking team's box he's probably more likely to give it, even if it wasn't deliberate.
