Capn12
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 12, 2010 -> 01:58 PM) Those photos are what hurt Andruw Jones? Wow, I figured it was an unexpected occurrence that many of us have been predicting. OK, how about "Damn you Kotsay, relinquish whatever damning photos of Ozzie you have, that allows you to play EVER in a Sox uniform." Any better? I'd rather see Nix DH even against a righty if you're arguing the fact that Ozzie had no one to go to after Jones was scratched.

BigSqwert
QUOTE (iamshack @ May 12, 2010 -> 01:09 PM) Danks has not been particularly sharp in several outings this year. Indeed. I'm surprised his ERA isn't much higher.

Balta1701
QUOTE (Capn12 @ May 12, 2010 -> 02:08 PM) I'd rather see Nix DH even against a righty if you're arguing the fact that Ozzie had no one to go to after Jones was scratched. His career OPS against righties is lower than Kotsay's OPS against righties this year. And Kotsay's been awful against righties this year.
justBLAZE
The game starts all over, gotta hit Pavano, have the bullpen ready, with the off day tomorrow we can use anyone.

Balta1701
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 12, 2010 -> 02:13 PM) And when was the last time Carlos went yard? Kotsay has hit 2 HR since the last time Quentin hit 1.
justBLAZE
Sqwert: place is pretty full. Teahen was suppose to be hitting doubles left and right, while he gets on base at a decent clip, def not as good as advertised.
BigSqwert
We just have way too many guys in the lineup where you are confident that they'll do absolutely nothing.

iamshack
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 12, 2010 -> 12:16 PM) We just have way too many guys in the lineup where you are confident that they'll do absolutely nothing. But every lineup can make you think that when they are struggling. Think how much you thought that of Pierre...and now he's hitting .425 in May. Some of these guys are going to hit. You just have to have patience.
ThunderBolt
There was really nothing worthy about that pitch to swing at it, Gordon.

iamshack
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 12, 2010 -> 12:19 PM) 33 consecutive games of not hitting is a long time. Well, if you want to believe that Q is not going to hit, and Beckham is not going to hit, I can understand that. They do not have particularly long track records. However, I believe they will hit, and hit a lot. .
Harry Chappas
If Teahen, Kotsay and AJ can not hit Carl Pavano they have no business being the team. Same thing with Beckham, Quentin and when he plays Nix against the likes of Dana Eveland. The bullpen should be used today to its fullest extent with the day off tomorrow.
