greg775
What I'm trying to say is we have a bad team, so there's no real opportunity to waste.
ThunderBolt
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 16, 2010 -> 03:51 PM) HOW MANY OF US SAID Thome would be getting a ton of DH at-bats (playing with Kubel against RHP and D. Young on the bench)? At least we got to start Vizquel at DH. That's... something.
WilliamTell
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 16, 2010 -> 02:51 PM) HOW MANY OF US SAID Thome would be getting a ton of DH at-bats (playing with Kubel against RHP and D. Young on the bench)? Yeah a lot of us said that I think. Although Young has played pretty well, it's Kubel that has been struggling before the Grand Slam he just hit. fathom
Teahen should not be batting here against a LHP.
ThunderBolt
QUOTE (fathom @ May 16, 2010 -> 03:56 PM) Teahen should not be batting here against a LHP. Good to see more proof that Jayson Nix is a non-factor on this team.
TitoMB345
Holy f***, we only have 2 guys under .200 in the lineup right now. This has to be the first time all year this has happened.

fathom
Teahen now with an OPS around .333 against LHP. Keep up the good season boys!
caulfield12
Ramirez finally reaches the 240 mark, 600+ OPS. Teahen, our scary 220 corner IF with 2 homers, 7 RBI's and a mid to low 600's OPS from 3B. One of the five worst infield defenders in all of the ALCD. greg775
Yeah, but Teahen always hit well against the Sox, so we had to sign him. Great front office reasoning.

TitoMB345
And, of course, Pierre strikes out like a chump to end it. Best chance to do something.. thwarted.
ThunderBolt
That was straight heat, Juan. You can't do anything with that?
caulfield12
Would have been a huge RBI opportunity for Gordo. We just seem to get "breaks" ONLY about 10-15% of the time this year. Maybe it's "make-up" for everything breaking right in 2005? Teahen had a 3-0 count, jeez.
fathom
Pierre was trying to hit a home run that AB, it seemed. What pathetic managing that inning.
greg775
How can you blame the managing for guys failing at the plate? Oh yeah, he should have pinch hit for two high paid starters. And pinch hit with the equally bad crap on the bench. Edited May 16, 2010 by greg775
